By Allan Fox: Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-2, 23 KO’s) says he isn’t all that concerned with his boxing legacy going into his fight tonight against Dereck Chisora (15-3, 9 KO’s) at Upton Park in London. All Haye cares about is punishing Chisora for what he feels is obnoxious behavior both in and out of the ring.
Haye-Chisora
Nigel Benn: Haye has to stop Chisora early or else
By Allan Fox: Former British boxing great Nigel Benn sees this as a make or break fight for both David Haye and Dereck Chisora with the loser of the fight being pretty much finished in the sport. Benn feels if Haye wins he’s got to do it early before Chisora comes on and starts punishing him like he did against WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko last February.
Chisora: Haye’s afraid to fight 12 rounds
By Allan Fox: As everyone knows by now, David Haye (25-2, 23 KOs) reportedly failed to agree to have his fight with Dereck Chisora (15-3, 9 KO’s) as a 12 round bout on Saturday night. Instead, Haye was only up for fighting 10 rounds instead of 12. Chisora thinks that’s pretty lame of Haye and he’s lost some respect for him because of that.
Steward: Wladimir thinks Haye will beat Chisora
By Jason Kim: Emanuel Steward, the trainer for IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, is pulling for Dereck Chisora (15-3, 9 KO’s) to upset David Haye (25-2, 23 KO’s) on Saturday night because Steward very much would like to see a fight between Wladimir and Chisora. Steward doesn’t see Wladimir showing any interest in facing Haye again if Haye defeats Chisora on Saturday due to the one-sided nature of their fight last year in July.
Calzaghe and Froch pick Haye to easily beat Chisora on Saturday
By Sean McDaniel: Very few boxing fans and sports writers are picking Dereck Chisora (15-3, 9 KO’s) to come out victorious in his fight against former two division world champion David Haye (25-2, 23 KO’s) on Saturday night. You can add IBF super middleweight champion and former super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe to the growing ranks that see Haye as being too good for Chisora.
Haye: Chisora looks flabby; he’s an idiot if he thinks he’s going to beat me looking like that
Haye 210 lbs outweighed 37 lbs by 247 lb Chisora
Chisora a make or break fight for Haye
By John F. McKenna (McJack): Former World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion David Haye (25-2, 23 KO’s) is hopeful that an impressive win over the unpredictable Derek Chisora (15-3, 9 KO’s) will land him a title shot with WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (44-2, 40 KO’s). But even though most boxing observers think that Haye is too fast and too good for Chisora, this fight is not a slam dunk for Haye.
Haye vs. Chisora: Will it live up to the hype?
By Dan Henderson: Every so often comes along a fight that does not need much promoting nor does it need any help selling tickets and this Saturday at Upton Park, London we have the eagerly awaited all British heavyweight clash between David Haye and Derek Chisora but what I want to know is, will it live up to the hype?
