Klitschko to move forward with career after Fury cancellation

wladimir9

By Scott Gilfoid: Wladimir Klitschko has been left high and dry by Britain’s Tyson Fury for the second time after the 6’9” Fury pulled out of their latest scheduled fight this past Friday. Fury needs to get his life together for a moment before he resumes his pro boxing career. Wladimir, 40, says he’s going to be moving forward with his career, and he could be fighting for one or more of Fury’s titles if the sanctioning bodies end up stripping him of his IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight titles.

That could be a positive or a negative for Wladimir. It would depend on who he winds up facing. There are some heavyweights that Wladimir would match up well against, but others like Luis Ortiz that he probably wouldn’t do well with if he winds up being the one he faces.

For Wladimir, it’s bad news that he can’t get a second crack at Fury, because with the way that he’s looked recently with him still not looking in great shape, it would have been a winnable fight for the Ukrainian fighter. I don’t know if Wladimir could beat a dialed in Fury, not at this point in his career. We might not ever know.

Peter Fury: Tyson will NOT be stripped of his belts

fury4

By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury will NOT be stripped of his IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight titles, according to his trainer Peter Fury, who says that a statement will be coming out “soon” to explain why his fighter pulled out of his scheduled October 29 fight against Wladimir Klitschko at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

Peter says that the titles will be sorted out legally. If that’s the case, then the sanctioning bodies might not strip the 6’9” Fury like a lot of boxing fans think, hope and are expecting them to.

Peter Fury said this on his social media site:

Tyson Fury medically unfit to fight Wladimir

fury67

By Scott Gilfoid: In an official statement from heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and his team has announced that he’s been declared “medically unfit” to fight next month against challenger Wladimir Klitschko in their scheduled fight on October 29 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK. As such, the Fury-Klitschko fight will NOT go ahead. The weird part of the statement from Team Fury is why they’re not revealing what’s wrong with him. Normally when a fighter is injured, they reveal what the problem is.

Fury’s injury is unknown still at this point. We should be hearing something soon hopefully. Team Fury says they will have further news to reveal to the boxing world soon about Fury’s condition.

Fury vs. Klitschko about to be called off again

fury7

By Scott Gilfoid: IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is reportedly injured again, and his scheduled rematch against Wladimir Klitschko is on the verge of being cancelled, according to news reports. It’s unclear what injury the 6’9” Fury has this time. Whatever it is, it must be bad enough for Fury to postpone. In recent photos of Fury this week, he looks to be very heavy around the middle. Fury’s midsection looks to have a lot of blubber there. With only five weeks to go before the rematch with Klitschko, it’s hard to imagine Fury being able to burn the lard off.

The fat is noticeable not only in the belly area of Fury, but also in the sides. It bulges outward. To take that kind of weight off in five weeks might be possible, but it would take a lot of hard work and Fury might be weaker for having taken off the weight. Another postponement would give Fury more time to take the blubber off unless he’s got another leg injury. From behind, the flab on Fury’s sides looks almost like a bullfrog. I don’t know how Fury could have gotten so heavy.

Fury vs. Klitschko II: Can Tyson win again?

fury8912

By Scott Gilfoid: We’ve seen IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) beat Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) on the Ukrainian fighter’s worst day of his career in their fight last November in Dusseldorf, Germany. Even on Wladimir’s worst night with him looking too scared to throw punches, he still came close to beating Fury. That kind of shows you how flawed Fury is.

Now the two heavyweights will be facing each other in a rematch on October 29 next month at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. Wladimir is the one that can make the most improvements in this fight because he did next to nothing the last time they fought.

With Fury, we saw him tapped out as far as his potential goes. That was the very best Fury that you can ever hope to see, and even then, he still barely won the fight.

Tyson Fury says he has some big news to reveal

fury4

By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) says he has some big news to reveal in the next few years, and boxing fans can only hope it’s about his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs). Fury already postponed the fight earlier this year when he suffered an ankle injury while training. The two heavyweights are supposed to be facing each other on October 29 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK. However, with the news that the 40-year-old Wladimir is talking about wanting to take the negotiations with Fury to court, it leaves you to question how well things are going between the two heavyweights.

As far Fury’s big news that he wants to reveal to the boxing world, I can only imagine it being one of two things: 1. Fury is retiring or 2. The negotiations issues with Wladimir have been ironed out and the fight is ready to take place on October 29.

Wladimir says he’s taking Tyson Fury to court over rematch

wladimir

By Scott Gilfoid: Former world champion Wladimir Klitschko said earlier Wednesday that he will be looking to take IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury to court over their rescheduled October 29 rematch in Manchester, England. The two giant heavyweights were originally supposed to have faced each other two months ago on July 9, but Fury suffered an ankle injury training that caused the fight to be postponed three months until October 29. However, the negotiations seem to have hit a snag, as Wladimir has decided to take to social media to say he’s going to take it to court. It’s unclear whether Wladimir is serous or not.

Fury is going to have major problems when he does eventually fight Wladimir because it’s going to be a completely different fight than the last one they had. Wladimir will have made adjustments and will be looking to take Fury’s head off with every punch. Fury can’t make the same adjustments because he lacks punching power We already saw Fury spoiling like made against Wladimir last November. Fury can’t spoil anymore than he already did, can he?

Tyson Fury to start training camp next week

fury7

By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury says he plans on restarting training camp next week for his rematch against former world champion Wladimir Klitschko on October 29. The fight is supposed to be taking place at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK. Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) suffered an ankle injury while training for his previously scheduled fight against Wladimir on July 9.

Fury, 28, apparently has finished licking his wounds from his ankle injury and is ready to restart the camp. Some boxing fans think that Fury’s injury was a way for him to give him more time to lose some of the tonnage that he’d put on after beating Wladimir last November.

Whatever the case, Fury is restarting training camp this week, and he looks considerably thinner than he did when he first started his last training camp. You no longer can see Fury’s double-chin that he was sporting, and his jowls around his face don’t look puffy with fat like they were before he started his previous training camp.

Wladimir Klitschko says fight date for Tyson Fury rematch not set

wladimir73

By Scott Gilfoid: Well, it looks like the injured Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) spoke too soon when he mentioned that the rematch with Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) would be taking place on October 29. Wladimir says the date hasn’t been set as of yet. They were supposed to fight two days ago on July 9, but Fury came down with an ankle injury.

Some would say the injury was a gift because it saved Fury from having to take the fight with Wladimir while still carrying round an abundance of jellyrolls around his midsection. Fury had no hope of losing that eight before the fight, and he clearly wouldn’t beaten Wladimir while carrying around 20 to 30 pounds of excess blubber.

With the rematch date still not set, Fury should have enough time to burn the remaining bit of fat off in time for the fight.
