Image: Froch-Kessler: Carl looking to prove who the top dog isBy Williams Mackay: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch is out to show former World Boxing Association super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler who the top dog is for their April 17th bout in Kessler’s home country of Denmark. In an article at thisisnottingham, Froch, 32, says “It’s my job to go over to his [Kessler] back yard and prove who the top dog in the division is.”

Speaking about Kessler’s 12 round decision loss to American Andre Ward on November 21st, Froch says “If anything, Kessler will now be more dangerous. But it will make no difference to the outcome.” Let’s hope so for Froch’s sake. He’s entering hostile territory, coming off a terribly unimpressive 12 round split decision win over Andre Dirrell on October 17th in the Super Six tournament stage 1 part of the competition.

In 2009 Britain crowned new world champions, but unfortunately lost one as well. Image: Super six next round: Froch, Ward and Abraham to come out on top and Taylor to drop outBy Peter Wells: With the next round of the Super Six tourney on its way for next March/April, I would now like to give my preview for each fight for this round. Carl Froch and Andre Ward are both on 2 points; Carl beat Andre Dirrell via split decision while Ward beat Mikkel Kessler via technical decision after the fight was stopped in the 11th by accidental head butts, or more like purposeful head butts.

Haye thinks Froch will win Super Six tourney – News

Image: Haye thinks Froch will win Super Six tourney - NewsBy Scott Gilfoid: World Boxing Association heavyweight champion David Haye thinks that WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch will win the Super Six tournament. Haye previously fought alongside Froch during parts of their amateur days. It’s hard for me to agree with Haye’s belief that Froch will win the Super Six tourney or that he’ll even beat Abraham or Kessler. Not after seeing how Froch looked against American Andre Dirrell in their fight on October 17th.
