By Scott Gilfoid: To listen to some of the British boxing fans, you would think we’re entering the golden age of British boxing. Who knows? They could be right. I would really like to see a bunch of British boxers take over the sport, if they can. But I don’t see too many British boxers that I can see dominating any of the divisions. I can see some paper champions, at least three of them, but I can see any real dominating fighters that will make me think we’re in a golden era of British boxers. Let’s look what we have in the way of talented British fighters, shall we?

Carl “The Cobra” Froch: Doing the UK Proud Whatever Happens
By Chris Kelly: Whilst the Boxing press and media tend to favour the likes of Amir Khan and David Haye, there is another World Champion from these shores who is humbly securing his place in boxing history. Nottingham’s Carl Froch may receive relatively little publicity in comparison to his countrymen and fellow World Champions but this certainly does not diminish his accomplishments.
Froch forced to get sloppy seconds against Kessler
By Scott Gilfoid: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch is going to have to settle for a fight against former World Boxing Association super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler in 2010 without Kessler’s title being on the line after the Danish fighter was soundly beaten by American talent Andre Ward on November 21st in Oakland, California. Not only will the title not be at stake for Froch, but also given the terrible beating that Kessler took against Ward, Froch won’t likely get nearly as much credit as he would have received had he been the first fighter to beat Kessler in the Super Six tournament.

Froch Wants Bout With Kessler; Jacobs vs. Walker This Saturday – News
By Jim Dower: Today on Steve Bunce’s Boxing Hour show, WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (25-0, 20 KOs) said that he’d be willing to fight World Boxing Association super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler (41-1, 31 KOs) next, even if it meant that Froch would have to travel all the way to Denmark in order to fight Kessler in his home country. Strangely enough, this is the exact same advice that former WBO super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe gave to Froch recently, telling him to beat Kessler and establish himself as the best super middleweight in the division.
