Coming in with no points as of yet are Andre Dirrell, Mikkel Kessler and Jermain Taylor, the losers of the group stage 1 contests. Taylor recently pulled out of the Super Six tournament, and his replacement will be chosen from the winner of the Allan Green vs. Sakio Bika fight which takes place next month in February.

Arthur Abraham tops the leader board with 3 points for his 12th round knockout of Jermain Taylor. Carl Froch and Andre Ward are both on 2 points; Carl beat Andre Dirrell via split decision while Ward beat Mikkel Kessler via technical decision after the fight was stopped in the 11th by accidental head butts, or more like purposeful head butts.

dirrell3432444By Scott Gilfoid: Since putting on a masterful performance against World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Carl Froch last month in their Super Six tournament competition in Nottingham, England, the world has been on fire with the prospects of seeing the talented Andre Dirrell (18-1, 13 KO’s) in action again. Dirrell, 27, who looks like a taller, heavier version of Floyd Mayweather Jr., showed incredible hand speed and defensive skills in fighting Froch and making him look, as one poster pointed out recently, like Bambi on ice skates. I have to agree with that comment.
