Should Froch stop complaining and just fight Abraham?

Image: Should Froch stop complaining and just fight Abraham?By William Mackay: Since being beaten by Mikkel Kessler and losing his WBC super middleweight belt, Carl Froch hasn’t seemed like the same fighter he once was. Whereas before Froch was incredibly confident of his skills and unafraid to fight anywhere on Earth, he is now bellyaching constantly about not wanting to fight his next Super Six tournament opponent Arthur Abraham this place or that place. Froch has already rejected Germany, Sweden and now Majorca for fights locations.

Image: Froch still doesn’t want to fight Abraham in Germany, but is open to Canada or AmericaBy William Mackay: Fighting in Germany is totally out of the question for former World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) in his next stage 3 Super Six tournament fight against Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25 KO’s). Froch would like to fight in either his home city of Nottingham, England, America or Canada. Froch feels doesn’t have a chance of winning his next fight if it takes place in Germany, where Abraham now lives and fights.

Image: Abraham vs. Froch fight must take place in Europe, not AmericaBy Sean McDaniel: The upcoming Super Six stage 3 bout between former WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) and German-based Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25 KO’s) won’t likely be taking place outside of Europe, according to Panarmenian.net. Froch, 32, wanted the fight to take place in the United States or his home city of Nottingham, England. However, Chris Meyer, the managing director for Abraham’s promoter Sauerland Events, is saying that the Abraham-Froch fight must take place in Europe, because that was a part of the agreement for the fight. Froch has already said no to the fight taking place in Germany and Sweden.

Froch wants to fight Abraham in the United States – News

Image: Froch wants to fight Abraham in the United States - NewsBy William Mackay: Former World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) wants no part of fighting former IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25 KO’s), according to Badlefthook.com. Froch, 32, also doesn’t want to fight in Sweden, a neutral country that was offered up to him as an alternative to Germany. But where Froch does want to fight is in the United States, where Froch has fought twice before during his career. That’s all well and good that Froch wants to fight in the U.S., but it’s not exactly practical because a fight between him and Abraham wouldn’t likely draw flies unless it was heavily promoted and place in a hotbed of boxing, like Las Vegas, Nevada.

Image: Will Froch pull out of the Super Six tourney if he’s forced to fight Abraham in Germany?By William Mackay: Former WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) has recently said that he’d pull out of the Super Six tournament if he’s forced to fight the hard hitting Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25 KO’s) in the Armenian’s adopted country of Germany rather than in some other location. Yesterday, in an article at The Sun, Froch again spoke about pulling out of the Super Six tournament if Showtime makes him fight in Germany, saying “I won’t be going anywhere east of Nottingham to fight Abraham and it won’t be in Showtime’s interest for me to pull out.”

Froch threatening to retire if he loses to Abraham – News

Image: Froch threatening to retire if he loses to Abraham – NewsBy Scott Gilfoid: Former World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) says he will consider retirement if he loses his stage 3 Super Six tournament fight to power puncher Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25 KO’s), whom he fights in September at a still to be determined location. Froch was defeated by Denmark’s Mikkel Kessler last month on April 24th by a close 12 round unanimous decision in their stage 2 Super Six tourney bout. Froch, not comfortable at all with losing, felt that he should have won the fight and believe that he would have been given the decision had the fight taken place in his home city of Nottingham, England.

Will Froch bounce back from his loss to Kessler and beat Abraham?

By William Mackay: Sooner or later, former WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) was bound to get beat. He had previously had gone life and death with Jermain Taylor and Andre Dirrell in fights in which Froch was hit often, out-boxed and made to look slow and wide open. For that reason, it came to no surprise to me that he was beaten by Mikkel Kessler last month by a 12 round decision on April 24th. Froch exuded huge amounts of confidence before the fight, talking as if there was little chance of him getting beaten by Kessler.

Dirrell thinks Abraham will knock Froch out

Image: Dirrell thinks Abraham will knock Froch outBy Scott Gilfoid: The talented Andre Dirrell feels that Arthur Abraham will stop former WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) when they meet up in their stage 3 Super Six bout in September. I hate to say it but I completely agree with Mr. Dirrell. I think Froch is in over his head and is going to pay a major price for his poor defensive abilities by being knocking cold by the powerful Abraham.
