Wladimir: “I’ll Make You [Haye] a Great Loser”

wladimir43434By Dave Lahr: British heavyweight David Haye continued his never ending attacks on IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko today in their press conference in New York, calling Wladimir a “B-level champion” and saying that no one will remember Wladimir 20 years from now except for being the opponent who was knocked out by Haye. As in the two other prior press conferences, Wladimir was once again angered by Haye’s comments, saying “I will make you eat your words and your T-shirt as well…I’ll make you a great loser.”

Haye vs. Klitschko: Is Wladimir Killing Boxing?

wlad65639By William Mackay: With the Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) and David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) about two months away, I think this is as good a time as any to discuss whether Wladimir is hurting the sport of boxing by continuously dull title defenses of his IBF/WBO heavyweight titles. Since winning the title in 2006, Wladimir, 33, has been a big disappointment in his title defenses, showing little emotion, very little aggression and seemingly content to win by doing just enough to get the victory.

Wladimir: “He [Haye] Will Have a Pizza Face After 12 rounds” – In Other Words, Another Boring Klitschko Fight

wladimir353546By William Mackay: Yesterday at the London press conference, a stung looking Wladimir Klitschko tried to retaliate against David Haye’s verbal barbs by saying that “He [Haye] Will Have a Pizza Face After 12 rounds,” meaning that Wladimir intends on jabbing Haye over and over again for 12 long rounds before the Ukrainian attempts for a knockout in the 12th. I don’t know whether Wladimir was aware of what he was saying or not, but what he was describing was the exact reason why he’s so disliked by many boxing fans.

Haye-Klitschko: Is David Mostly a One-Armed Fighter?

haye434450By Chris Williams: In going through many of David Haye’s top fights, I couldn’t help but notice that Haye relies about completely on his right hand to do most of his damage to his opponents. Haye rarely throws any jabs with his left hand and mostly lets it dangles down by his side, as if it’s a useless appendage serving no purpose. In contrast, Wladimir Klitschko, his opponent for June 20th in Germany, has knockout power in each hand and is perfectly balanced in his ability to use both hands to inflict damage.

Will Haye’s Taunts of Wladimir Backfire?

wladimir4532434By Dave Lahr: For the past couple of months former cruiserweight champion David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) has had his way with IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs), taking advantage of his poor English skills as well his in ability to deal with any kind of minor trash talking. In the last week, Haye has turned it up a notch by bringing Wladimir’s brother into it by wearing a t-shirt of Vitali and Wladimir’s cut off heads in each of Haye’s upraised arms.

Haye: “He [Wladimir] Sucks, He’s Crap”

haye347By Eric Thomas: Right about now I imagine that IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko wishes he had never agreed to fight David Haye. In the press conference today in London, Haye unleashed a storm of insults towards Wladimir and once again getting under the Ukrainian’s skin by questioning his manhood like in last week’s press conference in Germany. And again like last time, Haye got the better of Wladimir by insulting him throughout the meeting and saying things like, “he sucks; I don’t like what he represents.”

Is Wladimir Afraid of Haye?

wladimir43437By Jim Dower: IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko looked absolutely traumatized last week in his press conference with David Haye after the former cruiserweight champion arrived with a t-shirt depicting the severed heads of Wladimir and his brother Vitali being held up in each of Haye’s hands. However, it wasn’t just the t-shirt that had Wladimir looking so up, it was the confidence and the things that Haye was saying to him that had Wladimir looking as if he was on the verge of tears when he was speaking the German press.

Klitschko-Haye Tickets Moving Well; Manfredo Defeats Smichet – News

The German boxing fans stood in lines that Bonte says were close to a mile long, possibly exaggerating more than a little to help promote the fight a little.

Would David Haye Be a Bigger Star if He Were an American?

haye33353By Chris Williams: In looking at the fuss that is being made about the David Haye vs. Wladimir Klitschko bout that takes place on June 20th, I can’t help thinking that Haye is wasting his time by living and fighting in the UK. The money over there is smaller, the media attention doesn’t compare to the U.S, and the chances to take advantage of endorsements, of course, are probably much lesser as well.

Klitschko-Haye: Why Won’t David Show Wladimir Any Respect?

wladimir44569By Scott Gilfoid: I don’t see what David Haye’s problem is, but he needs to start showing IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) the respect that he deserves or else risk taking the beating of his life come June 20th at the Veltins Arena, in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The latest episode of non-respect from Haye came earlier today when he strut into a news conference being held in Veltins Arena with a horrible t-shirt showing him holding the decapitated heads of Wladimir and Vitali.
