Haye is ridiculous. He bailed from my fight, from a fight with Vitali. He actually admitted he was going to fight Valuev because it’s an easier fight for him. By Dave Lahr: International Boxing Federation/World Boxing Organization heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) is wary about this Saturday night’s fight against his number # 1 challenger Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KO”s) at the ESPRIT arena, Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. In an article at Sport.ru, the thirty-three year old Klitschko says “How dangerous is Eddie Chambers? I am fully aware that his little man is extremely dangerous.” Chambers will be giving up nearly six inches in height and over 30+ pounds in weight to the much bigger Wladimir. This could end up meaning a lot if Chambers isn’t able to get within punching range or if he can’t take the big punishing shots from Klitschko.

Chambers, 27, says in an article at Boxing Talk “I’m coming to win this fight handily and in twelve rounds. I should be in front pretty easily.” Chambers thinks he’ll be able to out-point Klitschko, which is kind of the opposite of what most fighters attempt to do when they face Wladimir. Winning rounds against the tall 6’6” Klitschko isn’t an easy thing for most fighters do.

Klitschko’s power, hand speed, movement and athleticism is unmatched by any other heavyweight in the division. He’s been almost untouchable since hiring legendary trainer Emanuel Steward six years ago fix his stamina and defensive liabilities. Confidence is a good thing to have, but Chambers sounds almost deluded with his self belief going into this fight. In article by Bernard Fernandez of Philly.com, Chambers says “Beating Klitschko isn’t about me getting lucky…It’s never easy being the best at what you do.” Wow! I never realized how cocky Chambers is. And the thing is, he looks damn average in every fight I’ve seen him.

Some people think Wladimir does just enough to win his fights, and because of that believe, many boxing fans have lost interest in watching Wladimir fight. This hasn’t been lost on HBO, who now rarely shows any of Klitschko’s fights anymore. That’s hard to imagine for a heavyweight who has dominated the heavyweight division for the most part for the past five years.

If the 29-year-old Haye has a preference, you can bet it would probably be IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s), and the reason is because his chin is the weaker of the two brothers. Vital, now 38, wants to be the one that faces Haye first, saying “For him [Wladimir] it is personal, but for me I want the title. My brother already has two but I have to clear it with him. I really hope he listens to his older brother.” Haye has a fight coming up next month on April 3rd against John Ruiz.

That robotic, Eastern European style. It’s easy to train for him, because you know what he’s gonna do.” It’s good that Chamber’s trainer feels positive about the Klitschko fight, but unfortunately he’s not the one that’s going to be in the ring with Klitschko on March 20th, at the ESPRIT arena, Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
