Tyson Fury wants October stay busy fight

fury52By Scott Gilfoid: #1 WBC heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) is bellyaching about wanting to get a stay busy fight for October or November to keep him active until IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) eventually heals up enough for him to face Fury, whenever that is. Klitschko, 39, pulled out of his previously scheduled October 24th fight against Fury last week, saying that he had injured his left calf in training.

Fury thinks that the Klitschko fight won’t be rescheduled until possibly February 2016, because Sky Box Office doesn’t have a fight date for November.

Fury: Klitschko fight could be rescheduled in February

fury567By Scott Gilfoid: It looks like we won’t be seeing the Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko fight for some time due to the 39-year-old Klitschko’s injured left calf injury. Fury is saying that he’s hearing that they might not be able to reschedule their title fight until next February.

Sky Box Office doesn’t have a date in November for the Klitschko-Fury fight to be rescheduled. Fury believes that the next available date will be February, which is four months away.

Fury laughs at Hearn’s offer to fight on Brook-Chaves card

hearn666By Scott Gilfoid: Well, it looks like Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn can forget all about heavyweight Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) fighting on the undercard of the Kell Brook vs. Diego Chaves fight card on October 24th on Sky Box Office.

Earlier today, Fury had a good laugh in the process of turning down Hearn’s offer of fighting in an eight rounder on the Brook-Chaves card. Fury said there is no way that he can take the offer, because he’s still under contract for the Wladimir Klitschko fight, and he has to wait until Wladimir’s injured left calf heals before he can fight. Fury can’t take any fights in between that fight.

Hearn wants Fury to beef up Sheffield card on 10/24

By Scott Gilfoid: As I predicted earlier, Eddie Hearn needs a big name for his Kell Brook vs. Diego Chaves fight card on October 24th on Sky Box Office at the Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, UK. Hearn isn’t going to take his fight card off of Sky Box Office PPV despite the fact that Wladimir Klitschko vs. Tyson Fury has been pulled from the same PPV event after Klitschko suffered a leg injury during his preparation for the Fury fight.

It was supposed to be Klitschko-Fury and Brook-Chaves in a split site card on Sky Box Office. That isn’t happening, and Hearn is starting to show signs desperation at trying to find a big name. But get this; Hearn wants Fury to fight on the Brook-Chaves card. Is that desperation or what?

Brook-Chaves will be tough sell on Sky Box Office PPV minus Klitschko-Fury

hearnBy Scott Gilfoid: Promoter Eddie Hearn got some really bad news today with IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko postponing his fight against Tyson Fury because of a calf injury. This means that without the Klitschko-Fury fight, the Kell Brook vs. Diego Chaves fight will be the headliner fight on Sky Box Office on October 24th from the Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, UK. If Hearn discounts the fight 95% by charging only 5% for the Brook-Chaves fight card, then I think it might be worth it to purchase it along with the other mismatches on the card. But no way do I see it worth the whole price now that Fury-Klitschko is off the card.

David Haye gloats about Fury’s bad luck

haye67By Scott Gilfoid: David Haye appeared to take enjoyment today in gloating about Tyson Fury’s bad luck with IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko postponing their fight set for October 24th because of a calf injury that he suffered during training.

Haye, who was forced to pull out of a scheduled fight against the 27-year-old Fury two years ago, said that the Boxing Gods don’t feel like he deserves to get a retirement payday.

Tyson Fury: ‘I Predicted Klitschko Injury’

fury100By Tim Fletcher: After hearing the news that IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) had pulled out of their scheduled October 24th fight in Dusseldorf, Germany, Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) says he and his trainer Peter, and his father John Fury had predicted the 39-year-old Klitschko would pull out of the fight for one reason or another.

Wladimir told the media today that he had suffered a calf injury while training for the fight. He plans on rescheduling the fight as soon as he has a timeline for how long it’ll take for his injury to heal up. Wladimir’s physician, Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt, has diagnosed him with a torn left calf muscle.

Fury forced to wait for injured Klitschko

furyBy Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) finds himself now stuck in the waiting game after IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) revealed the news that he suffered a calf injury during his training camp in Going, Austria. The Klitschko-Fury fight has now been postponed and there’s no telling how long it’s going to take for Wladimir’s left calf injury to heal enough for him to resume training.

Of course, boxing fans are going to say that Fury harassed Wladimir into suffering the injury with the way he was intimidating the 39-year-old fighter at their London press conference on Wednesday.

Klitschko vs Fury: New date will be announced next week

wladimir200Due to a tendon tear in the left calf of IBF/IBO and “The Ring Magazine” World Heavyweight Champion and WBA/WBO Superchampion Wladimir Klitschko his championship fight against Tyson Fury has to be postponed. After sustaining this injury in his training session yesterday Wladimir Klitschko has promptly left his camp for seeking medical treatment from Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt i.a. team doctor of the German national soccer team who has diagnosed the injury.

Wladimir Klitschko: “Especially after the exciting press conference last Wednesday I was looking forward to this fight very much. I know that a lot of fans have organized their trips for supporting me in Düsseldorf. I am so sorry that I am not able to fight on October 24. As well as I am sorry for my opponent who has already prepared for this fight for many weeks. I will do my very best to recover as fast as possible.”
