Kenny is the father/trainer of former IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter, and he thinks Thurman has been faking injuries as far as 2016.

By Jeff Aranow: Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman (28-0, 22 KOs) vacated his WBC welterweight title on Tuesday due to a hand injury that will keep out of action for at least 8 more weeks. The hand injury is just the latest injury the 28-year-old Thurman has had to deal.
One of those plans which were in my father’s notes will now be a reality. I must thank Stephan Pryor, son of legendary champion Aaron “The Hawk” Pryor, for bringing the concept and idea back – to award the boxing trainer who crowns a WBC champion with a belt.
By Allan Fox: WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman will be ordering a fight between #1 WBC contender Danny Garcia and #2 Shawn Porter for the interim WBC welterweight title due to champion Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman being out with a hand injury and unable to fight on his previously scheduled May 19th date. Thurman wasn’t planning on fighting either of those guys anyway. He was going to take a tune-up bout before facing Porter or Garcia later this year.

Charlo doesn’t have much to say other than Canelo is the breadwinner for Golden Boy Promotions, who is the lead promoter in the rematch.
