Why would Mayweather fight Matthew Hatton?

mayweather5435274By Chris Williams: I still refuse to believe that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will opt to fight Matthew Hatton of all fighters. I know Mayweather is proud of being a business man, and doesn’t like to take punishment in his fights, but come on. He’s got to fight someone at least a little better than Matthew Hatton for Christ sakes.

Mayweather vs. Matthew Hatton: How many rounds will it take for Floyd to win?

mayweather453433439By Chris Williams: In the latest news, there is talk of Floyd Mayweather Jr. facing Matthew Hatton (37-4-2, 14 KO’s) in March 2010 instead of Manny Pacquiao. According to Insidesports.ph, part of the problem for the Pacquiao-Mayweather bout not going ahead is because Pacquiao has decided to run for congress in Sarangani. This predicament has resulted in Mayweather looking at a fight against Matthew Hatton, who recently failed in an attempt to capture the International Boxing Organization welterweight title when he fought to a 12 round draw against Lovemore N’dou on November 13th.

What will Matthew Hatton do when N’Dou beats him?

hatton-matthew4342229By Liam Santiago: If Matthew Hatton was a betting man, and he seriously believed he has some kind of chance of becoming a world champion on November 13th, I imagine he would be inclined to put a few quid on himself beating Lovemore N’Dou, with the odd for him to win at 9/4. Recently an article was posted on this website about the amount of world titles currently floating around and which ones are genuine ‘titles’. The fact that Matthew Hatton is fighting for a world title sums up the state of boxing right now.

Matthew Hatton vs. Ricky Hatton: Who Would Win?

hatton443389By William Mackay: I know Ricky Hatton would never probably fight his younger brother Matthew Hatton, but then again you never know. It seems reasonable to consider, since the Klitschko brothers are often asked whether they’ll ever fight. People don’t seem to understand why the Klitschko brothers don’t go ahead and fight, considering it would make either one of them a lot of money and prove who the best heavyweight is in the division.
