Bradley: Mayweather beats Pacquiao easy

Image: Bradley: Mayweather beats Pacquiao easyBy David Lahr: In a radio interview at East Side Boxing, WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, when asked who will win the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight on March 13th, said “Mayweather, hands down. Easy fight. Like unanimous decision. It might be competitive at the beginning. Once he [Mayweather] gets in his rhythm, he’ll basically pot shot him [Pacquiao] from the outside. Stick and jab and come in with the left hook. And come in with the lead right hand. Use his movement to make Manny miss.”

It’s up to Pacquiao to make the fight with Mayweather

Image: It's up to Pacquiao to make the fight with MayweatherBy Dave Lahr: If Manny Pacquiao and his promoter Bob Arum want to get the huge money fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on March 13th, they’ll have to budge from their stance on having blood tested randomly and within the 30 day window leading up to the fight. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer and Mayweather adviser Leonard Ellerbe both made it clear yesterday that they won’t go along with Arum’s proposal of having the Nevada Athletic Commission decide on which kinds of drug testing methods should be used for the fight.

Mayweather-Pacquiao: Welcome to the richest boxing soap opera

Image: Mayweather-Pacquiao: Welcome to the richest boxing soap operaBy Klaas Mabetlela: Right from the beginning, I thought March 13th was too early to effectively prepare, maximize marketing value and suck every penny available out of a mega super fight between Floyd Mayweather and World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquaio. I checked previous fights of this magnitude and something seemed odd right from the beginning.

It is tempting for me to say that the whole shenanigans going on are just part of the plan by both teams. It is almost impossible to plan the twists and turns we have experienced up to now, but I believe the fight was never really meant for March 13th right from the onset.

Why Mosley would beat both Mayweather and Pacquiao

Image: Why Mosley would beat both Mayweather and PacquiaoBy Peter Wells: I know most people will think, what is this guy talking about, but if you look at the way these fighters fight, Shane Mosley would beat both Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao. I have stated how much I believe Manny or Floyd should fight Shane Mosley, and this is to say how and why he would beat both fighters and become the best boxer in the world.

I don’t think I have much trouble convincing a lot of you that Mosley would beat Mayweather, especially after hearing what you said after my first article about Sugar Shane.

Pacquiao-Malignaggi to be on PPV: Wouldn’t pay a penny to see it

Image: Pacquiao-Malignaggi to be on PPV: Wouldn’t pay a penny to see itBy Peter Wells: With Pacquiao-Mayweather looking in serious trouble, Bob Arum has picked one of the worst opponents he could have picked for Manny. I feel sorry for Manny to be honest because this is exactly what happened to Oscar and Floyd with Arum. Pacquiao won’t get any credit for beating Malignaggi, and his haters will just have more reason to hate. Arum knew that Tim Bradley was willing to step in, and that would have been a very interesting fight, but no, he goes for Malignaggi.

Image: Pacquiao vs. Malignaggi: Will Paulie be the next sacrificial lamb?By Chris Williams: With the rejection of promoter Bob Arum’s proposal for drug testing by Golden Boy Promotions and Floyd Mayweather’s adviser Leonard Ellerbe, it now looks like the March 13th planned bout between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao is off the table for now. Arum had set Monday as the deadline for Mayweather and Golden Boy Promotions to either accept his offer of having the Nevada Athletic Commission decide on the appropriate drug testing for the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao bout or decline.

No Deal: Mayweather Rejects Final Top Rank Deal

Image: No Deal: Mayweather Rejects Final Top Rank Dealby Jason Alcairo: Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions has effectively told Bob Arum and Top Rank to take a hike. The disagreement over random blood testing of the fighters is apparently more of an obstacle than it really should be.

“It does not make sense for this to be a commission matter, “Schaefer told Yahoo Sports. He continued, “This is a contractual matter. The commission did not decide the weights or the purse split or how the foreign television rights would be sold.”

Mayweather rejects Arum’s Final offer – Breaking News

Image: Mayweather rejects Arum's Final offer - Breaking NewsBy Eric Thomas: In crushing blow in the continuing saga of negotiations between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, moments ago Mayweather adviser Leonard Ellerbe and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefe, according to Yahoo Sports, rejected the final offer put forth by Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum, who had set a deadline for Monday for the offer to be accepted. As such, this means, according to Arum, that Pacquiao will instead be fighting Paulie Malignaggi on March 13th instead of Mayweather.

Releasing the Skeletons in Mayweather’s Closet

Image: Releasing the Skeletons in Mayweather’s ClosetBy Giancarlo Malinconico: Floyd Mayweather’s insecurities began reaching the surface following his first bout with Jose Luis Castillo. Up until that point, Floyd would not dodge an opponent. He dismantled the dangerous Diego Corrales at 130 pounds. But after he was overmatched by Castillo at 135 pounds in their first encounter, Mayweather would begin to pick and choose his battles to ensure he would remain undefeated. Although he “defeated” Castillo in their rematch by a close decision, many questioned that victory as they did the first bout.
