Image: Mayweather: Pacquiao said he'd take a pay cut to fight me a month ago, but now he changes his mind when I show interest in fighting himBy Chris Williams: Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26 KO’s) doubts that Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO’s) was ever serious about fighting him. Mayweather recently told Pacquiao he can’t get a 50-50 deal after Pacquiao asked to get an even split with him. However, last month Pacquiao told writer Nick Giongco from the Manila Bulletin that he wanted to make the Mayweather fight and would take a smaller cut to get the fight.

Image: Pacquiao-Cotto II: How do you sell this mismatch to the boxing public?By Chris Williams: I’m still hoping Bob Arum doesn’t select Miguel Cotto as Manny Pacquiao’s next opponent for June 9th. I’d prefer to see Pacquiao anyone in the division other than seeing him stomp Cotto again. I like to see new people get their chance and not have Arum pushing a fight just because it fits his bottom line of making money. How do you sell a Cotto-Pacquiao II fight? Cotto could be next for Pacquiao

Image: Cotto could be next for PacquiaoBy Dan Ambrose: Michael Marley of examiner.com sees Miguel Cotto being the next opponent for Manny Pacquiao to fight on June 9th, as the negotiations between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. haven’t gone beyond Mayweather contacting Pacquiao by the telephone to tell him he’s not getting a 50-50 deal. Supposedly there won’t be any catchweight for this fight, meaning that Cotto would be forced to come all the way down to 147lbs if he wants the fight. Pacquiao won’t be meeting him half way (150lbs), even though Cotto fought Pacquiao at a catchweight of 145lbs that benefited Pacquiao in 2009 when Cotto was the WBO champion.
