By Chris Williams: I’m in full agreement with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in not agreeing to fight a guy that he sees as a lesser fighter than him for a 50-50 deal in Manny Pacquiao. Why give someone a 50-50 deal when they can’t even conclusively beat opposition that you yourself beat? This isn’t mercy on Mayweather’s part to give a guy that is starting to look like he’s losing it an even 50-50 deal. Forget that. All those god awful catchweight handicap fights for Pacquiao, his bouts against old fading fighters from the Top Rank stable and his fights against weight drained guys. Pacquiao’s resume for the past few years just doesn’t stack up to be someone worth getting a 50-50 deal. In this society, you’re paid based on your accomplishments and I don’t see much of that from Pacquiao. With the opposition he’s faced, it’s like he’s been given a chair to stand on to pick up wins.

Khan could face Mosley if Peterson takes Marquez or Pacquiao fight
By Scott Gilfoid: Despite having given a recent ultimatum to IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Lamont Peterson that he only had a few more days to agree to a rematch, Amir Khan (26-2, 18 KO’s) is still sitting and waiting to see what Peterson will do in terms of his next fight. It’s funny how Khan tried to bluff Peterson and is being completely ignored by him.
Pacquiao deserves a 50/50 split for Mayweather fight
By John F. McKenna (McJack): A few weeks ago when World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO’s) was attempting to lure WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26 KO’s) into the ring with him he stated that he would be willing to take a smaller piece of the pie to make the fight happen.

Marvin Hagler believes Dubai has a shot at Mayweather – Pacquiao fight
By John F. McKenna (McJack): Former middleweight champion “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler believes that Dubai has a good chance to host what would be the biggest money fight of all time between World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26 KO’s) and WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO’s).
Weight an issue for Cotto-Pacquiao fight
By Allen Fox: According to article from Chris Robinson at examiner.com, promoter/advisor Sampson Lewkowicz is saying that Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto IS going to be the next fight for both of them.
However, he Lewkowcicz points out that the weight for the fight is an issue for Cotto because he can’t get down to 147lbs without losing his power in the process, which would give Pacquiao a huge advantage in this fight. Cotto fights at 154 and needs the Pacquiao fight to take place at 150lbs for him to keep his power and not be drained.
