By Allan Fox: IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn thinks that Brook would make easy work of Chris Algieri. In fact, Hearn thinks Brook would stop Algieri in three rounds. Hearn appears to have randomly picked out Algieri’s name out of frustration because the guy that he wants to face Brook, Amir Khan, beat Algieri by a narrow 12 round unanimous decision last Friday night in New York.

Hearn mentions Rios, Thurman and Pacquiao as potential opponents for Brook
By Allan Fox: Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn is interested in upgrading the opposition for his fighter IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (35-0, 24 KOs) following his noncompetitive fight against Frankie Gavin (22-2, 13 KOs) on Saturday at the O2 Arena in London, UK.
Hearn put together an in house fight between Brook and Rios, both of which he promotes, and the fight was disappointingly one-sided with Brook having his way from start to finish in a 6th round knockout victory. After the fight, Hearn mentioned being frustrated that Amir Khan won’t agree to fight Brook.

Gavin was hurt by a right hand in the 6th by Brook. Gavin then turned his back and scurried to the ropes. Brook then teed off on a hurt Gavin until he crouched down, causing referee Steve Gray to step in and halt the bout at 2:51 of the round.
