Brook, who is currently ranked #2 by the WBO and one of the best fighters in the welterweight division, described Khan’s performance as “amateurish” against McCloskey and felt that boxing fans didn’t see a good fight. Unfortunately, his chances of getting a title shot against WBO champ Manny Pacquiao are nonexistent and will likely remain that way for good. None the less, the 24-year-old Brook is now targeting contender Matthew Hatton (41-5-2, 16 KO’s), who he hopes will accept his challenge for a fight.
