By Scott Gilfoid: Rocky Fielding (27-1, 15 KOs) is looking for an opponent to make his first defense of his newly won WBA ‘regular’ super middleweight title, and James Gale (24-2-1, 14 KOs) would be a great option, according to his trainer Jamie Moore. The 32-year-old DeGale needs a fight after recently vacating his IBF 168 pound title after the International Boxing Federation ordered him to defend against his mandatory challenger Jose Ucategui, who he didn’t wish to fight.

Those who haven’t seen those fights surely need to look them up on youtube and see what a fantastic warrior Moore was. On medical grounds he has been advised to retire at the age of 31.

Rhodes defeats Moore – Boxing Results

rhodes3223By William Mackay: 32-year-old Ryan Rhodes (43-4, 29 KO’s) pulled off a major upset last night when he stopped champion Jamie Moore (32-4, 23 KO’s) in the 7th round to capture his EBU (European) light middleweight title at the Bolton Arena, Bolton, Lancashire. Moore, 30, was in control of the fight for five rounds, but suddenly seemed to gas out in the 6th round and start taking punishment from the quicker southpaw Rhodes. In the 7th, Rhodes tagged an unsuspecting Moore with a big right hook that sent him down on the canvas. Moore got up and continued to fight back fairly well for the next half a minute.

Moore, delivered a perfect left hook to the midsection of Piccirillo in the 3rd round, knocking Piccirillo down.
