Roach right, Francis wrong, Pacquiao amazing!

cotto26By Al Francis: In my second article for this site, published about two months ago, I predicted Miguel Cotto to knock out Filipino star Manny Pacquiao. I felt that despite Pacquiao’s great talent and ferocity, the bigger and stronger Cotto would prove to be a step too far, however I severely miscalculated! Some writer’s like to make bold claims like quiting writing if they’re proved wrong. Thank god I’m not that stupid!

Roach: [Pacquiao is] “Punching like a Middleweight”

pac43523434By Manuel Perez: In an article at Abs-Cbn news, trainer Freddie Roach had this to say about Manny Pacquiao, say he’s “punching like a middleweight.” I’m wondering why Roach only said that Pacquiao is punching like a middleweight, and not like something bigger like a light heavyweight? This is funny. Mark my words, the next interview Roach will probably be comparing Pacquiao’s power to Wladimir Klitschko or Mike Tyson. I’m kind of curious.

pac4543By Manuel Perez: It looks like Manny Pacquiao is really interested in trying to become a politician. I wish him a lot of luck. His trainer Freddie Roach said this to GMA News: “I would like (Manny) to finish with beating Mayweather.” Finish with beating Mayweather? What is that about? Pacquiao hasn’t even fought Miguel Cotto yet and already Roach is having visions of Mayweather. Someone needs to wake Roach out of his reverie and delusions of grandeur. Pacquiao is going to be picking up his teeth on November 14th when Cotto sends Pacquiao packing his bags for his political career.

We have to be very tactical.” In other words, Pacquiao needs to try and protect his noggin from getting tagged by Cotto on November 14th.
