Boxing: The talented Floyd Mayweather Jr.

mayweather4533264By Andrew Muldoon: A friend recently asked me what I think would be the outcome in a fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Sugar Ray Leonard, my sarcastic reply was that there wouldn’t be an outcome because there wouldn’t be a fight. I don’t think Floyd would set foot in a ring with someone like Sugar Ray. Why? It pains me to say it but Floyd Mayweather has lost his heart, his desire for a supreme boxing legacy.

Floyd Mayweather: Pugilist enemy No. 1

mayweather4332644By Jemique Harris: With the recent systematic annihilation of yet another opponent Juan Manuel Marquez (ranked as #2 pound for pound) Floyd Mayweather Junior has a life size target on his back. In light of what I have seen in terms of Mayweather’s fights, and what I have heard in barbershops, basketball courts, and blogs; I have found Mayweather junior to be somewhat of a conundrum. People seem to make up their mind about Mayweather pretty quickly and draw their line in the sand while doing so. It has come to my attention that Floyd Mayweather Junior is a truly interesting character which I have dubbed as “The Pugilist enemy No. 1”.

mayweather433456547By Liam Santiago: For what it’s worth Freddie Roach has announced his own personal pound for pound rankings. I also am about to announce mine. Surprise, surprise, guess who makes it into Roach’s list, Amir Khan. I have a lot of respect for Roach but thank God he has no say in any official rankings as his choice of ten is pretty crazy to put it lightly.

mayweather543343246By Sander Rennurb Aznarrac Sr. Floyd Mayweather Jr. retired from boxing without fighting one of the most challenging probable opponents in WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto. It was presumed that either he was afraid to fight Cotto and the others (Mosley, Margarito) or he wanted to call it quits having raked in millions from 2 previous mega-bouts with Oscar dela Hoya and Ricky Hatton, enough to sustain a lavish lifestyle.
