By Eric Thomas: World Boxing Association welterweight champion Shane Mosley has already been tested five times for drugs, according to Boxing Fanhouse. Mosley, 38, isn’t bothered at all by the blood tests for the urinalysis, and sees it as a good thing. Both Mosley and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have agreed to the United States Anti-Doping Agency testing protocols for their May 1st bout at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mosley says “I could see how fighters would not like this…But at the same time, I kind of like it. It’s truly a good thing. I think that it’s great for the sport.”

Ellerbe predicts “Corrales-type performance” for Mayweather against Mosley – News
By Jim Dower: In an article by Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports, Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, predicts a “Corrales-type performance” for unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr’s May 1st bout against World Boxing Association welterweight champion Shane Mosley. In Mayweather’s bout with Diego Corrales many years ago in 2001, Mayweather completely dominated the tall, slender Corrales, knocking him down five times before the slaughter was finally stopped by Corrales’ corner throwing in the towel.
Roach thinks Mayweather-Pacquiao will happen – but doesn’t say anything about random blood tests
By Chris Williams: Trainer Freddie Roach thinks that a bout between his fighter WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao can take place against Floyd Mayweather Jr., but Roach still isn’t saying about what Pacquiao giving in and taking the random blood tests that Mayweather wanted. Rather, Roach is repeating a lot of his same old lines, saying to ESPN “Mayweather is a good fighter and I think he came up with these excuses because he was not ready for Manny. He [Mayweather] had two years off and I think he needed more time. He has a fight coming up and if he beats [Shane] Mosley, all the rust will be gone. Then he will be sharp for a guy like Pacquiao.”
Roach: Pacquiao Would Drop the Lawsuit to fight Floyd Mayweather
By Ryan Dunn: In a recent interview with ESNEWS, Freddie Roach gave some revealing thoughts regarding where Manny Pacquiao wants to go next. He mentions Manny having been interested in fighting Antonio Margarito for some time. “He wants to fight [Antonio] Margarito,” said Roach. “Before Shane [Mosley] beat him, he told me that he wanted him next, after Oscar. So he saw something that maybe Shane saw.”
Steward likes Pacquiao vs. Mosley more than Pacquiao-Mayweather
By Sean McDaniel: HBO Boxing analyst and trainer Emanuel Steward likes a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley rather than Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. In an interview at East Side Boxing’s On the Ropes program, Steward, commenting on a potential future fight between Pacquiao and the 38-year-old Mosley, said “The true, true really explosive fight that the true fights would like look forward to would be Shane Mosley and Pacquiao. I mean, you know that Shane is going to bring it to you. I mean that’s him. There’s no way he’s going to run from anybody or try to be technical and if things get rough, he’s still going to fight.”
Pacquiao picking Mosley to beat Mayweather
By Esteban Garduno: Manny Pacquiao has come up with his own prediction for the May 1st clash between unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley, saying to the Yahoo Philippine News “I pick Mosley to win that fight because he can throw a lot of punches compared to Mayweather, who’s a very defensive boxer. Defense can’t win fights, especially against a fighter like Mosley who relies on speed.” Someone needs to break the news to Pacquiao that defense can and does win fights. Actually, defense wins fights all the time in boxing. Just mindlessly throwing punches doesn’t win fights.
Mayweather-Pacquiao: Testing Windows and Television Air Dates Oh My!
By Ryan Dunn: Picking up where Steve Lewis left off, I wanted to make a few more points on the matter of Floyd Mayweather’s drug-testing conditions. At the end of the day the fans have mostly made up their minds as to who is to blame for the fight falling apart. But regarding the blood-testing clause in the contract, there are many questions as to the motives behind its validity. One of the biggest questions revolves around the cut-off date.
Mayweather, Pacquiao Strive to Strengthen Communities
By Alexander Fugate: While Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao are almost universally recognized as the two best pound-for-pound boxers today, their philanthropic works often gets overlooked. Both continue to donate much time and energy to help those in need.
Mayweather-Pacquiao: Floyd’s “14-Day Testing Window” Rhetoric:
By Steve Lewis: Three months after failed negotiations, the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao blood testing issue is still a hot topic.
Arguments from both sides have been repeated ad naseum. Many points have been beaten like a dead horse. Yet, the blood testing issue is still a point of contention.
Recently, RingTalk.com’s Jarrad Woods wrote a piece about how Pacquiao should come clean, and lays most of the blame on Pacquiao for the failed superfight with Mayweather.
Pacquiao’s PPV numbers against Clottey don’t compare to Mayweather-Marquez numbers
By Chris Williams: If Manny Pacquiao wanted to get an even split of a future revenue split in a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., he didn’t help himself with his numbers for his March 13th bout against Joshua Clottey. ESPN reported today that the Pacquiao-Clottey fight netted just 700,000 pay-per-view buys. That might be a decent number for a fight against a little known fighter like Clottey, but sadly they don’t compare to the numbers that Mayweather brought in with his 1 million PPV buys in his last fight against Juan Manuel Marquez last September.
