By Dave Lahr: Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KO’s) is about to meet the biggest puncher he’s ever seen when he takes on WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34 KO’s) on February 19th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Up until now, Donaire has just been playing around in the sandbox with much weaker punchers and has been able to have his way most of the time. Montiel is a whole different ballgame. Whatever he hits, he breaks and Donaire is going to be in serious trouble in this fight.

Donaire says he’s going to go for a knockout against Montiel
By Dave Lahr: Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KO’s) has got it in his head that he can stop WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34 KO’s_ when they meet up on February 19th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Somebody has obviously been putting crazy ideas onto Donaire’s head, because he’s not going to be knocking anyone out. Its going to be a sad night for Donaire and his flock of admirers.
Montiel says he won’t give Donaire any respect on 2/19
By Dave Lahr: WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34 KO’s) doesn’t plan on giving any respect to former IBF flyweight champion Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KO’s) on February 19th when they battle it out at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. I like the way that Montiel is thinking now. He was being way too nice to Donaire recently, but it looks as if Montiel has changed his tune and is showing him who’s boss.
Montiel-Donaire will meet tomorrow in Las Vegas to start hyping their February 19th fight
By Dave Lahr: WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34 KO’s) will be meeting with challenger Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KO’s) in a press conference to start generating excitement for their February 19th bout at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Montiel, a three time world champion, has to fend off the fast but limited Donaire in order to move on to bigger and better things in the future. The Donaire vs. Montiel fight will be shown on HBO’s Boxing After Dark at 9:45 PM ET/PT.
Donaire-Montiel: Fernando will knock Nonito off The Ring’s pound-for-pound list
By Dave Lahr: Former IBF flyweight champion Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KO’s) is currently at the number #5 spot for The Ring’s pound-for-pound rankings, whereas his February 19th opponent WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34 KO’s) is at the number #7 spot. I expect those rankings to be changed dramatically after they face each other at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Montiel vs. Donaire: Fernando is powerful enough to knock Nonito out even if he doesn’t land flush
By Dave Lahr: WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34 KO’s) has a big advantage in power on his side as he approaches his February 19th fight against Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KO’s) in their battle at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Montiel, 31, seems to be getting better and better as he ages. In the past two years, only one fighter has been able to last beyond the 4th round and that was Juan Alberto Rosas back in 2008 when he used running and clinching in order to survive but lose a 10 round decision.
What will Donaire do when Montiel starts throwing bombs?
By Chris Williams: Former three time world champion Fernando Montiel (43-2-2, 33 KO’s) goes into his February 19th bout against former IBF flyweight champion Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KO’s) with a huge power advantage for their fight at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Donaire, 28, has decent power of his own, but not the one punch power that Montiel has going for him. Donaire is the type that needs to land a lot of shots to get his opponents out of there.
Donaire vs. Montiel: Nonito wants to fight Kameda in unification bout if victorius over Fernando
By Chris Williams: Former IBF flyweight champion Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KO’s) has a lot of ambition and dreams for the future which go beyond his fight against WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34 KO’s) on February 19th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Donaire-Montiel: February 19th will be a sad day for Nonito fans
By Dave Lahr: On February 19th, I see a lot of fans of Nonito Donaire (25-1, 17 KO’s) in mourning for their hero after he gets pounded by WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34 KO’s) in their fight at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is going to be one of those beatings where Donaire will be wondering where he’s at afterwords as he’s woken up from being knocked out by Montiel.
Fernando Montiel Looking More Dangerous Every Day for Nonito Donaire
By Francisco Hernandez: Nonito Donaire may be regretting having finally decided to sign the fight with Fernando Montiel. When Fernando Montiel fought champion Hozumi Hasegawa, the Japanese press considered this to be one of the most important fights in Japanese boxing history, if Hasegawa was victorious against Montiel, Hasegawa they said would be considered the greatest boxing champion in the history of Japan.
