He fought the toughest prospects coming up on the welterweight division and his resume consist of a variety of boxing styles which showboat his overall talent. He fought a dangerous boxer on Diego Chaves who offers a blend of technique with brawling, and gave him his first loss via body knockout. He also made Luis Collazo quit the fight – an achievement no other boxer has accomplished. He then took on Shawn Porter, and beat him via UD; he took on undefeated Danny Garcia, and gave him his first loss. Thurman remains the best boxer in the welterweight division based on his four year performance.

Wladimir usually takes it easy on the weights, but he appears to be really bulking up for this fight knowing that he’s got to deal with the 250 pound Joshua.
By Scott Gilfoid: Marco Huck (40-4-1, 27 KOs) says he isn’t retiring following his lopsided 12 round unanimous decision loss to Mairis Briedis (22-0, 18 KOs) last Saturday night in a fight for the vacant WBC cruiserweight title in Dortmund, Germany. Huck lost his IBO title in the fight, but there’s a question whether he could get the title back. Briedis reportedly didn’t pay the sanctioning fee for the IBO title, according to Fightnews.
By Scott Gilfoid: In the first day of ticket sales for the welterweight clash between IBF champion Kell Brook and challenger Errol Spence Jr. saw an incredible 17,000 tickets sold for their May 27 fight at Bramall Lane in Sheffield. England. The stadium seats 32,000 fans, and it’s quite possible we could see a sellout by early next week for the fight. It’s nice to see how much interest there is in the clash. Brook, 30, has a lot of boxing fans from his home country.

Spence is getting ready for his fight against IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) on May 27, and it looks like he’s taking it very serious in training with the 5’11” Jermell, who is a little bit bigger than him.
