Chad Dawson
Hopkins a scared old man in first fight says Dawson
By John F. McKenna (McJack): Challenger “Bad” Chad Dawson (30-1-1 NC, 17 KO’s) believes what he saw in his first fight last October with WBC and The Ring light heavyweight titlist Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2-2 NC, 32 KO’s) was a scared old man. Dawson also believes that the 47 year old champion did not want to be in the ring with him and that his ring demeanor exhibited that.
Dawson: I want to make Hopkins look stupid and old
By Dan Ambrose: The last time Bernard Hopkins fought Chad Dawson, Hopkins went down early in the fight with an injured left shoulder that ended the fight for him. Hopkins will pass the torch to Dawson on Saturday
By Dan Ambrose: On Saturday night, 47-year-old Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KO’s) will likely be passing his WBC light heavyweight title to challenger Chad Dawson (30-1, 17 KO’s) in their HBO televised fight. On top of giving up his World Boxing Council title, Hopkins will effectively be crowning the 29-year-old Dawson as the best fighter in the light heavyweight division with his victory.
Hopkins: What happens when I match Dawson’s speed and energy?
By Dan Ambrose: 47-year-old Bernard Hopkins thinks he’s going to be able to match the fast pace, speed and the energy that challenger Chad Dawson will be bringing to their fight at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Hopkins says he’s not a typical 47-year-old fighter, and that what would work on a normal fighter that age won’t work on him on Saturday.
Dawson: Hopkins showed he didn’t want to fight last time
By Allan Fox: Former two time WBC light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson believes that 47-year-old WBC light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins faked his injury last time they fought in their controversial 2nd round non decision last October. Hopkins vs. Dawson this Saturday
Hopkins will need every trick in the book to beat Dawson
By Dan Ambrose: It’s probably a truism that 47-year-old Bernard Hopkins no longer has the youth or the skills needed for him to come out on top in his rematch against Chad Dawson on April 28th. He didn’t appear to have enough left in their fight last October in his 2nd round no contest against Dawson.
Hopkins’ only chance of beating Dawson is to get him upset enough to where he’s not thinking
By Allan Fox: We saw how 47-year-old Bernard Hopkins was able to get under the skin of Chad Dawson enough to where he lost his temper and angrily picked Hopkins up and dropped him on the canvas in the 2nd round in their fight last October. Hopkins, whether you believe it or not, was injured during the fall and it caused the fight to be halted. Dawson blew it for himself by getting annoyed with Hopkins and reporting to lifting him up and dropping him.
