Is Hopkins kissing his WBC title goodbye against Dawson on April 28th?

Image: Is Hopkins kissing his WBC title goodbye against Dawson on April 28th?By Dan Ambrose: WBC light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins has finally started to show his age after all these years. At 47, Hopkins is one of the oldest world champions of all time and that’s a testament to how good he is, but also how poor the light heavyweight is at this time. Hopkins must find an answer for Dawson’s superior skills

By Dan Ambrose: I’d say that WBC light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KO’s) is really up against it in his rematch with Chad Dawson (30-1, 17 KO’s) on April 28th. Hopkins can’t get beaten too badly by Dawson if he wants to get the Cleverly fight

Image: Hopkins can't get beaten too badly by Dawson if he wants to get the Cleverly fightBy Dan Ambrose: It’s pretty much academic at this point that 47-year-old Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KO’s) will be losing to Chad Dawson (30-1, 17 KO’s) in their rematch on April 28th at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, U.S. That’s pretty much a given. Hopkins is way too old, way too slow and way too fragile to come out on top in this fight. The thing is Hopkins has a nice paying bout looming ahead against the WBO light heavyweight paper champion Nathan Cleverly in Wales this summer if Cleverly doesn’t get stripped of his title for failing to fight his mandatory challenger.
