Is there really a need for a Ward-Froch II?

ward45By The Realist: Is there really the need for a second fight between IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch (31-2, 22 KO’s) and WBA super middleweight champion Andre “S.O.G.” Ward (26-0, 14 KO’s)? Of course, the answer is yes.  We all want to see the best Super Middleweights fight.  But, Froch did not earn another shot at S.O.G. after his dismal performance in the first fight.

The only reason the score sheets were so close in the Super Six final was because of the grumbling by a minority of fans  that felt that  Amir Khan did not lose to Lamont Peterson, by the scorecards, in a close fight the week prior to this fight.   Peterson won a close Split Decision in a Fight of the Year candidate.
