By Aidan Neill: David Price (15-2, 13 KO’s) has reportedly agreed to sign with the Denmark based Sauerland Promotion, according to the Daily Mail. Price was left without a promoter after the retirement of the long-serving Frank Maloney and a swarm of promoters were reportedly interested in taking the heavy-handed heavyweight onto their books.
On the 15th of October, the Sauerland twitter feed (@sauerlandbros) set the rumour mill alight by tweeting “Major UK signing to be announced by #teamsauerland at a media lunch in London on Monday #guesswho”. If it is Price, as expected, it would be a big move into the UK market for Sauerland Promotions who have a reputable stable of continental fighters.
