By Frank Gaskins: Lucas Matthysse’s dymanic performance last Saturday was something of the likes we haven’t seen in quite some time. His record of (34-2, 32 KO’s) is an impressive one to say the least and he deserves all the praise that comes his way…or does he, maybe Golden Boy Promotions deserves all the praise for the match-ups they have made in building “The New Manny Pacquiao”.
Like it or not, as a boxing fan, die hard or casual we all know who the P4P King is, he’s the best fighter in the world and the second best guy isn’t even close. The boxing world is so thirsty for someone, anyone to knock off Floyd Mayweather (44-0, 26 KO’s) that when we see a dominate performance like what Lucas Matthysse displayed vs. Peterson it jumps from “did you just see that!” to “this is the guy that can beat Mayweather” without any research.
