Tyson Fury Makes Sudden U-Turn to Attend Anthony Joshua Fight in Jeddah

Hours after saying he would stay away, Fury confirmed he will travel to Jeddah, predicted a Joshua knockout and sent another X-rated message to his British rival.

Tyson Fury has changed course and confirmed he will attend Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight fight with Kristian Prenga in Jeddah on Saturday. The decision sets up another face-to-face moment as anticipation builds for their proposed November showdown.

The change came just hours after Fury had indicated he would not make the trip. Instead, he confirmed he intends to be ringside. He also backed Joshua to finish Prenga inside the distance.

When the interviewer brought up the possibility of skipping the event, Fury changed course.

Q: “Tomorrow you’re definitely not going to Jeddah, right?”
Tyson Fury: “Yeah, I’m going” saiid to the Stomping Ground.

Q: “What are you expecting from Anthony Joshua versus Christian Prenga tomorrow?”
Tyson Fury: “A knockout.”

Q: “I will interview Anthony Joshua after his fight tomorrow, provided he wins. Would you have a message that I can tell him from you directly?”
Tyson Fury: “Go and suck my big Gypsy balls. Tell him that. And he’s getting chinned.”

The seven-round outing with Wach gave the former heavyweight champion exactly the kind of work he wanted before returning for a bigger event. The trip to Jeddah also creates another face-to-face moment as speculation continues about a long-awaited meeting between the two British heavyweights.

He also made it clear he has no intention of sitting idle while waiting for a deal with Joshua. Inactivity, he believes, only gives opponents a better chance, and he intends to keep fighting if their proposed meeting is pushed into next year.

“I could have sat down and done nothing for two years. Why would I want to do that to give people more chance to beat me? If the fight’s going to be postponed for next year, I’m going to fight again and again and again. Of course I am,” said Fury.
