Agit Kabayel scored a third round technical knockout over Damian Knyba on Saturday night at the Rudolf Weber Arena, in Oberhausen, Germany.

The unbeaten WBC interim heavyweight champion Kabayel struggled in the first two rounds with the size and work rate of the 6’8″ second tier fighter Knyba. In the third round, Kabayel stunned Knyba with a right to the head. He followed up with two additional sledgehammer rights, staggering Knyba. At that point, the referee stepped in and waved it off.

Petar Milas has been around long enough to know when a fight is drifting his way and when it still needs to be taken. Solid opponents, rounds that need managing, pressure applied without drama. Shala was another version of that pattern. Capable, active, unwilling to wait his turn.

The fight opened at a pace that suggested neither man wanted to give the judges much to work with. Shala was sharp early. Quick hands, direct routes, body shots mixed in without hesitation. He stood his ground and made Milas acknowledge him.

Milas stayed measured. Small steps, controlled angles, nothing wasted. He let the early work pass without trying to answer everything. Fighters who have been in enough ten-round fights understand how long a night can feel.

The middle rounds belonged more to Milas. Not by volume, by placement. His footwork began to close off Shala’s exits. Exchanges started nearer the ropes. Shala still fired back, still had moments, but each reset cost him more effort.

This is where experience shows without announcing itself. Milas did not chase. He nudged the fight into spots where timing matters more than speed.

The ninth round brought clean right hands and hooks that forced Milas to respond. Milas chose to stay put. He answered in kind and waited for the opening to return.

The tenth round moved quickly. Shala was hurt early, put down, and pressed again as he tried to find space that was no longer there. The referee stepped in.

Milas takes another belt, another late stoppage, another reminder of where his strengths lie. He works best when the fight asks questions over time. Shala showed enough to suggest he belongs at this level, though nights like this tend to leave marks that do not show up on the record.

Milas improves to 20–1 with the win. Shala suffers his second career loss, stopped in front of his home supporters. It was a fight that stayed competitive until the moment it didn’t.

Nelson Birchall stopped veteran Wilbert Panttin in the sixth round in a super featherweight contest. The 21 year old Birchall dominated the fight, battering Nicaraguan Panttin with heavy shots. After the fifth round ended, Panttin’s corner chose not to have him come out for the sixth.

Jadier Herrera had to get off the second in the first round to come back to stop Ricardo Nunez by an eighth round technical knockout. The ending was controversial, as Herrera had Nunez badly hurt after nailing him with a left to the head that seemed to knock him senseless. Herrera followed with a hard hand that snapped Nunez’s head sideways.

At that point, the referee fell on the canvas while attempting to wave it off. He then caught up and stopped the fight. However, by then, Nunz looked like he had recovered. Nonetheless, the referee still halted the contest. With the win, Herrera captured the vacant WBC interim lightweight title.

Roman Fury scored a fourth round knockout win over journeyman Kevin Greenwood in a heavyweight fight. The referee stepped in and halted the fight, which looked premature. However, the 39 year old Greenwood was absorbing punishment and not able to defend himself against the constant shots from Roman.

Seun Salami and Daniel Dietz battled to a questionable six round draw in a heavyweight fight. Salami landed the cleaner, harder shots in every round. Dietz was mostly effective on the inside, throwing uppercuts, but lacking power on his shots. By the second round, Dietz already appeared to be laboring from the frantic pace that Salami set.
