Pitbull Cruz Offers a Title Shot to Ryan Garcia

Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs) is offering Ryan Garcia a free title shot for his first title defense after his eighth-round technical knockout of WBA light welterweight champion Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero (15-2, 13 KOs) last Saturday night in Las Vegas. Cruz is throwing a title shot at Ryan.

Haney: The Hurdle for Garcia

Ryan (24-1, 20 KOs) might not be worth much to Pitbull Cruz if he gets blown out by WBC light welterweight champion Devin Haney on April 20th in their headliner on DAZN PPV.

Haney is expected to easily win that fight against Ryan, who was arguably selected by Devin and his father, Bill, based on his popularity on social media rather than his accomplishments.

Kingry will be pretty needy if Haney soundly beats him, and it would be a gift for him to be given another title shot after losing two out of his last three fights. However, Pitbull Cruz using Ryan as an opponent with him coming off a loss to Haney just wouldn’t play out well with the public.

It would be seen as a pity match if Pitbull throws a bone to Ryan with him coming off a loss to Haney, but it wouldn’t be a major shock if that happens. With Ryan losing Devin, he still has 11 million Instagram followers, and he could push them to purchase a fight between him and Pitbull on DAZN PPV.

They’d still buy it. After all, these aren’t boxing fans. They’re Ryan Garcia’s followers. He’s an influencer, and he influences his followers with his behavior, opinions, and, if need be, what to purchase, such as one of his fights.

Cruz: “I’m Ready”

“I’m not about to dodge Ryan Garcia. I’m ready to fight him at 140 if he wants to. I’m ready,” said Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz to Fight Hub TV’s YouTube channel last Saturday night, letting Ryan Garcia know he’s open to defending his newly won WBA light welterweight title against him next after his eighth-round knockout win over Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero.
