A slightly chunky-looking Ryan Garcia says trainer Bill Haney needs to “stop pimping” his son, Devin, ahead of their official April 20th fight on DAZN PPV.
The comment about Bill “pimping” Devin is likely due to the way he’s trying to hustle fights for him, popping up at press conferences, and talking to different fighters, looking to stir up some game for Dev.
Devin isn’t a good talker, so he’s ill at ease when speaking to people, so he can’t initiate fights the way his dad, Bill, can. Now that the fight is signed, Bill can slow down his hustle game and focus on promoting the fight with Ryan on April 20th.

Ryan (24-1, 20 KOs) says he will hurt WBC light welterweight champion (31-0, 15 KOs) just like he did when they fought in the amateurs, and he can’t wait to show the fans.
Garcia needs to back away from the dinner table because he looks like he’s put on the pounds lately, showing the beginning stages of a double-chin at 25.
For him to have a chance of beating Haney, he’ll need to be in top form, agile able to close the distance on him. He can’t do that if he’s fat.

“I’m just like that, and they’re going to find out. I’m like that,” said Ryan when asked why he believes he’ll be able to get beyond Haney’s long reach advantage.
“Devin Haney needs to stop the pimping game. He’s pimping his own son. Tell him to f*** off,” said an irritable-sounding and tired-looking Ryan.
“Yes, that is right,” said Ryan about his having hurt Haney when they fought in the amateurs. “I can’t wait for you guys to see. April 20th, buy your tickets. We’ll get into more of this when I have time to really digest the questions, but as of right now, start praying for Devin,” said Ryan.
