Bill Haney Unleashes on Teofimo: “You’re Not the Best, Focus on Ortiz, Not $20 Million”

Bill Haney took to social media today to scold Teofimo Lopez Jr. and his dad, Teo Sr., for asking for $20 million to fight his son, Devin.

That money was obviously out of Bill and Devin’s reach, especially wit)h the low PPV numbers that Dev brought in recently against Regis Prograis.

Demanding Dollars and Doubting Dominance

Bill Haney ridiculed Teofimo Sr. and Jr’s request for $20 million for a fight against Devin. As usual, doing all the talking for his son, Devin, Bill said that Teofimo isn’t the best fighter at 140, which is obviously true.

“Teofimo Lopez Sr and Jr, I just seen you before the Vergil Ortiz fight, right before Bernard Hopkins walked up with his [bleep], y’all showed up with y’alls, talking about $20 million and, why we didn’t offer you $20 million,” said Bill Haney on social media.

Teo isn’t even the second-best in the division, but Devin isn’t #1 either.  Subriel Matis is #1 in the eyes of boxing fans.

Haney and Teofimo aren’t PPV draws, so $20 million is out of reach for either of them. That’s why Bill & Devin have been working so hard to try and entice Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia into fighting them. That’s also why Teofimo has been calling out Terence Crawford 24/7, sounding more desperate each time he calls him out.

Shifting Blame and Questioning Loyalty

“Brother [Teofimo], you’re not the best at 140 lbs, and for one, why would you not be mad at your promoter [Bob Arum], your boss, for not offering you $20 million and putting something on the table for us whatever that us might have been getting?” said Bill.

As you can see, Bill Haney wants Teofimo to be angry with his promoter, Bob Arum, for his $20 million demand, as if he would magically come up with the cash to make this money-losing fight happen. Arum wasn’t born yesterday, and he’s not about to throw tons of dough at a Teofimo vs. Haney fight only to watch it fail miserably on PPV.

“You should have been mad at him because I don’t know what you’re getting paid for Jamaine Ortiz, but you need to concentrate,” said an unhinged-looking Bill Haney.

Bill is obviously frustrated at Teofimo’s demand of $20 million, realizing that a fight between him and Devin can never happen due to his unrealistic financial expectations.
