John Fury says Oleksandr Usyk must apologize on video or no fight with Tyson

By Charles Brun: Tyson Fury’s father, John, says Oleksandr Usyk must apologize on video, admitting that he was the one to blame for the recent failed negotiations for him to have a chance of fighting the ‘Gyspy King’ in December in Saudi Arabia.

It’s unclear if John Fury speaks for Tyson or if this is just his own want of seeing Usyk prostrate himself in public to try to absolve ‘The Gyspy King’ of blame to rinse & restore his tarnished image; it’s not going to work.

Unfortunately, this move by John to coerce Usyk to agree to something he didn’t do just to make the boxing public not view Fury as a spoiled, intractable fighter that has become increasingly more difficult to negotiate with won’t help.

Even though Usyk having had agreed to all of Fury’s constantly added items to the negotiations last time, John still wants him to admit blame to have the possibility of maybe getting a fight with Tyson.

Usyk would still need to jump through hoops with Fury in the new set of negotiations, so it’s not a given that he’ll get the fight with Fury. In other words, John wants Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) to be servile without any guarantees that he’ll get the fight.

John isn’t saying who Fury (33-0-1 24 KOs) will be fighting in December in Saudi if it’s not IBF, WBA & WBO heavyweight champion Usyk. The Saudis at Skills Challenge Entertainment probably won’t be keen to the idea that Fury is floating about fighting two UFC guys, Jon Jones & Francis Ngannou, on the same night in boxing matches because that exhibition circus stuff likely won’t interest them to pour money into indulging the Gypsy King in taking more easy fights like his last two mismatches against British journeyman Dereck Chisora & Dillian Whyte.

Unless he gets on video and tells the truth of what he did, there’ll never be a fight for Usyk, never,” said John Fury to Secondsout.

“It’ll be when he apologizes for trying to put the blame on Tyson,” said John Fury, Tyson’s dad, to Secondsout, setting another condition that Oleksandr Usyk must agree to for him to have a chance to fight ‘The Gypsy King’ in December.

“He’s trying to turn the public against Tyson Fury, which they’ve done a good job of because the public’s daft anyway. Look what wonders he’s done for this country. And look how quickly they turn and support a total foreigner.”
