By Geoffrey Ciani: Coming up on April 15 from London, in a bout that will be broadcast LIVE on ESPN+ in the US, undefeated heavyweight contender Joe ‘The Juggernaut’ Joyce will square off against Zhilei ‘Big Bang’ Zhang.

Both of these guys can punch, and both of these guys can take a punch – so this one could potentially become a heated heavyweight slugfest with lots of fireworks. And both of them are also coming off of solid showings last time out.

Last August Big Bang Zhang was in an entertaining heavyweight slugfest against Filip Hrgovic. Both heavyweights were undefeated going into this one, which saw both boxers throwing and landing a lot of big punches. At the end of 12 rounds of action, Hrgovic was awarded a unanimous decision victory, but there were a lot of people who believed Zhang deserved to win despite falling short in the eyes of the official judges. This was the first official loss suffered by Zhang, and Hrgovic won the IBF mandatory spot.

A month later in September, The Juggernaut squared off against former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker. The fast pace was very taxing on Parker, and he was eating a lot of heavy-handed clubbing shots. Joe Joyce was effectively able to wear Parker down through prolonged accumulation. In round 11, Joyce hammered Parker with a mean left hook that dropped him, and he was unable to beat the count. The victory earned Joyce the WBO interim trinket.

So who will win the upcoming heavyweight showdown between Joe Joyce and Zhilei Zhang?
