Conor Benn: I’m going to be hitting Eubank Jr “from all angles”

By Barry Holbrook: Conor Benn is vowing to hit Chris Eubank Jr from every angle on October 8th in their headliner on DAZN pay-per-view at the O2 Arena in London.

Benn (21-0, 14 KOs) says he doesn’t care about the mind games that Eubank Jr (32-2, 23 KOs) is playing by trying to create the impression that he’s not training hard and is eating junk food.

As far as Benn is concerned, he doesn’t care what Eubank Jr does. If he fails to make weight on October 7th for their 157-lb catchweight fight, he’s going to be the one that will look bad.

“I want to get in there and do the business now. All the hard work is done. I’m not getting any stronger. I just want to get in there now,” said Conor Benn to iFL TV about his fight against Chris Eubank Jr on October 8th.

“That goes without question. 100%,” said Conor when asked if he’s going to “crush” Eubank Jr. “Me as an individual, my sparring and just my mindset, the way I operate,” said Benn when asked where his self-confidence comes from.

“You have to have self-belief, especially when you’re in the ring. You’re on your own in there. I put in the work, I work extremely hard, and I’m confident in my ability.

“I believe I’ll go in there and will be hitting him with everything, everywhere, from all angles. It’s unprofessional. Who wants to be portrayed in that image?” said Benn about Eubank Jr eating Kentucky Fried Chicken during the build-up to the fight.

“Imagine if he don’t make the weight? How bad is that going to look? His dad is saying, ‘I’m worried about my son’s health’ and he’s out eating burgers. It’s just the weird whole dynamic. If he wants to look like that, that’s fine.

“I work extremely hard, and I want people to know I work extremely hard. I’ll leave no stone unturned. It’s irrelevant with mind games. It’s not really mind games, is it? Am I supposed to be thinking he’s not training hard? I could give a rat’s a** about what he does or how long he’s celebrate for,’ said Benn.
