Rolly Romero says Tank Davis is “FRAIL, I’m going to knock him out”

By Jim Calfa: Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero expects to make easy work of “frail” WBA ‘regular’ lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis when they meet later this month on May 28th on Showtime at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Rolly (14-0, 12 KOs says the short-armed Tank is too “frail” to beat him, and he expects to knock him out in the first round in their headliner affair.

The 26-year-old Rolly saw weakness in Tank Davis in his last fight against the much smaller 5’4″ Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz last December, a match that Gervonta barely won by a narrow 12-round unanimous decision.

Tank is the favorite to easily handle Rolly, but you never know. The oddsmakers were wrong last weekend with them picking Canelo Alvarez to defeat Dmitry Bivol, and they could be off the mark again with the Davis vs. Rolly fight as well.

I’m going to knock him the f*** out because I don’t like him,” said Rolly Romero to Fighthype about his plans for Tank Davis. “People beat the s*** out of him. People had him running like a b***.

“He’s frail, and Pitbull [Isaac Cruz] is smaller than him,” Rolly continued. “What do you want me to tell him? I already told him my d*** is longer than his arms. What else do you want me to tell him?” said Rolly.

Tank had a hand injury against Pitbull Cruz, which made it necessary for him to box and move rather than apply pressure in the way that he otherwise would have done.

It’s important that Tank not suffer any similar injuries against Rolly, though, because this fight would be a nightmare for him if he’s hurt.

“I don’t support boring fighters,” said Rolly when asked if he wants to fight the winner of the June 5th undisputed lightweight championship bout between George Kambosos Jr. and Devin Haney.

“I’m over here fighting a real f**** champ. Gervonta f**** Davis is a real multi-division champ. I’m not going to fight f*** Devin Haney with an email champ and Kambosos, who got a lucky day with Teofimo [Lopez].

“F*** them both; I fight pay-per-view stars. First-round knockout,” Rolly said in predicting how he’ll defeat Gervonta on May 28th. “I don’t give a f*** about that, I really don’t,” said Rolando when told that Kambosos is undisputed.

“Everyone is f*** undisputed now in this boxing s***. I don’t really care about that. They can play musical chairs with the belts over there, but nobody gives a f***,” said Rolly.
