By Jim Calfa: Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz and Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero had positive things to say about the recently announced Ryan Garcia vs. Emmanuel Tagoe fight on DAZN on April 9th at the Alamodome, in San Antonio, Texas.

Pitbull Cruz (22-2-1,15 KOs) doesn’t seem bitter about a fight between him and Ryan failing to happen recently. Ryan’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya claimed recently that a “lucrative” offer made to Pitbull Cruz was rejected. However, Cruz reveals that no offer was ever made to them for a fight with Ryan.

The #2 WBC-ranked lightweight contender Ryan (21-0,18 KOs) is fighting for the first time since his victory over Luke Campbell in January 2021. His opponent, 33-year-old Tagoe (32-1,15 KOs) is from Ghana and is promoted by Lou DiBella.

It’s believed that this is an interim fight for the 23-year-old King Ry Garcia that will set up a title shot for him later this year against undisputed lightweight champion GeorgeKambosos,  who is also promoted by DiBella.

As for Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero, he’s predicting that Ryan will knockout Tagoe, but in turn, he’ll be stopped by depression.

Pitbull Cruz reacts to Ryan vs. Tagoe

“Possibly returning to the ring in April or May. We will know very soon where and with who,” said Isaac Cruz to Fight Hub TV on his next fight.  No,  I don’t really have a preference. I’ve never had one.

“I step into the ring with whoever,”  continued ‘Pitbull’ Cruz when asked if he has a preference for who he faces next. “If it’s a  champion or someone highly ranked. I think the next fight will be in the United States.

There was never anything. They never sent us a contract,” said Pitbull Cruz when asked what happened with his negotiations for a fight against Ryan Garcia.

“Nothing was sent to Sean Gibbons or Manny Pacquiao Promotions. It was just all show from Ryan. There was never anything concrete. Because they never made a formal offer to my team.

Well, you got to respect what he does and who he is,” Pitbull Cruz said when asked about his thoughts on Ryan Garcia’s announcement for his April 9th fight against Emmanuel Tagoe on DAZN at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

“Well, Everything is in the hands of my promoters,” Cruz said on whether he’ll be fighting a rematch with Gervonta  ‘Tank’ Davis or not. “I confide in Sean Gibbons, Manny Pacquiao,  Al Haymon, and we will figure out the next steps,” said Cruz on his next fight.

It would be great for Ryan to fight Pitbull Cruz at some point, but it’s not likely to happen in 2022. Ryan will be fighting GeorgeKambosos’  four belts, and if he wins, we’ll probably see a rematch.

Rolly predicts Ryan Garcia stops Tagoe

“I don’t care for him,” said Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero when asked if he would be interested in fighting ‘Pitbull’ Cruz. “Why would I care about him? I’m mandatory. I’m going to fight with Tank,” said Rolly.

“There’s no point in even thinking about him [Pitbull Cruz]. He doesn’t sell,” said Rolly. “There’s no point.  I gain nothing from him. He gains nothing from me.  I  gain nothing from him.  I want Tank.  I’m going to knock him the f***out.

“I’m going to be the #1 fighter in the world, and ya’ll are going to see this. Everybody can say I’m the pound-for-pound greatest. I don’t give a flying f*** about anybody out there.

“Y’all can say Canelo, y’all can say Crawford and y’all can say whatever because it doesn’t matter to me. I’m knocking all these mother f****out.

Ryan is going to knock him out,” said Rolly when asked about his thoughts on Ryan Garcia fighting Emmanuel Tagoe next.  “Ryan beats everybody except depression. Depression beat the s*** out of him,” said Rolando.

There is a good chance that Ryan does knockout Tagoe because he’s never faced a puncher like him. and he hasn’t fought in over a year.
