Ryan Garcia says George Kambosos should fight him next

By Sean Jones: Ryan Garcia is making a late pitch for George Kambosos Jr. to defend his four lightweight titles against in April in Australia. The 23-year-old Ryan (21-0, 18 KOs) hasn’t shown much interest in fighting Kambosos until now.

Kambosos Jr. (20-0, 10 KOs) has been talking up a storm about wanting to fight WBC 135-lb champion Devin Haney or Vasily Lomachenko next, but he’s left Ryan out of the equation, saying he wants to see him get back in the ring.

Given the high probability of Kambosos losing “them beautiful belts” against Lomachenko or Haney in his maiden defense, it would be in his best interest to choose Ryan ‘King Ry’ Garcia next.

As Ryan points out, Kambosos Jr. will bring in a bigger crowd fighting him than he will against those other guys, who aren’t huge draws.

Kambosos has been blabbering about fighting in front of a stadium filled with fans in Australia, but it’s unclear whether he can draw a crowd without a big name.

Kambosos needs Ryan if he’s intent on filling a stadium in Australia because he’s not going to be able to do that with Haney or Lomachenko.

Ryan Garcia makes a pitch to Kambosos

“I have a response to all the things that have been said about me during a time that I didn’t have a voice,”  said Ryan Garcia to ESNEWS on his comeback in April.

“I like that fight,” said Ryan Garcia about a match-up against George Kambosos. “I would sell better than every single one of these guys. I win that fight; I knock him out within probably seven rounds.

“It’s a good fight,” Ryan said about a match between Kambosos and Devin Haney. “I think Devin maybe pulls it through with a majority decision, but yeah, I would love that opportunity to fight [Kambosos]. Hopefully, he wants it. Come on.

I make more sense. I’m coming off a layoff, and you just got the belt. I had hand surgery. I’m the perfect picking.  You might as well go after me,” said King Ry about him being the ideal opponent for Kambosos to fight next.

Sean Jones agrees with Ryan Garcia about being the perfect opponent for Kambosos’ next fight in Australia. He’s not going to bring in a crowd singlehandedly to fill a stadium.

It doesn’t matter how much bragging Kambosos does about himself and dredging up his win over Teofimo Lopez. He needs a popular opponent like Ryan Garcia to bring the Aussies to fill a stadium down under in Australia.

If Kambosos chooses the light hitting Haney, he’ll be sorry. That stadium will be a ghost town with no one there, as it’s too dull of a fight to attract fans.

Haney lacks charisma, and he’ll put the Aussies to sleep with his interviews.

“I think Tank can pull it through, but he can also easily lose himself. That’s the kind of fight it is,” said Ryan Garcia when asked who wins between Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and Vasily Lomachenko.

“He could rock Lomachenko and take him out, or he could get totally outclassed. You just don’t know.

“Yeah, I like that fight. I think it’s going to be exciting for fans, but I think Canelo liberates him,” said Ryan when asked who wins between Canelo Alvarez and Jermall Charlo.

Tevin Farmer wants Ryan Garcia

“2 people I wanna fight are Mickey Bey and Ryan Garcia,” Farmer continued. “They scared.”

Former IBF super featherweight champion Tevin Farmer is pushing hard for a fight against Ryan in April. Apparently, negotiations have started between his management and Golden Boy.

However, Farmer urging Ryan to sign the contract tells me that King Ry is looking for a bigger game. Hence, he’s now trying to lure Kambosos into fighting him because he obviously sees weakness in the champion.
