This is the latest edition in the Boxing Survey Series, which was conducted in the Classic Section of boxingforum24.com.

Must Watch Boxing Matches – That was the theme of the Survey. What is a “Must Watch Boxing Match”? That was up to the participants of the Survey to decide. Perhaps it is a fight of great historical significance? An action-packed war? A tactical chess match between elite-level operators? A battle of heart and determination filled with momentum shifts? A brutal early knockout in a devastating display of power? A workmanlike effort in a 15 round decision? Excitement? Drama? A surprising one-sided upset? A come from behind knockout? The types of matches that make you love being a boxing fan. The basic idea was to use the collective input from long-time boxing fans to compile a comprehensive list of MUST WATCH BOXING MATCHES.

In total there were 38 volunteers who participated in the Survey. Every participant provided a Top 25 list of what each considered to be the Top 25 Must Watch Boxing Fights. 290 unique fights were mentioned at least once in the Survey, but here in the video, we will focus our attention on the Top 50 in the final results.

This was the scoring system (image below). Any ties in the tallies were broken by which fight received a greater number of mentions among the 38 participants.

As the video descends through the countdown, a brief summary including the outcome of each bout will be provided, along with some highlights from all of these fights that cracked the Top 50 – but the idea of this experiment, it isn’t about knowing the outcome of the fights. And it isn’t about seeing a few select highlights from these fights. The idea here is that these 50 fights are boxing matches that every die-hard fan should experience.

That’s what’s important here – the viewing experience as a boxing fan. Of course, the subject matter here is very subjective, but the Top 50 results are based collectively on the informed opinions of all 38 participants.

For newer fans who are becoming interested in boxing history, hopefully, this list acts as a starting point for fights that are absolutely worth watching. And for long-time die-hard fans, maybe this list may have introduced you to a few of the more obscure hidden gems that exist for your viewing pleasure. A lot of you have already seen at least some of these fights, quite a few of you may have seen most of them, and some of you have probably seen all of them. But the idea here was to provide a foundational library of fights that every boxing fan should experience. That was the goal of this Survey.
