Tank Davis agrees to fight Ryan Garcia next

By Sean Jones: Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis agreed on Thursday to face Ryan Garcia in his next fight. The two fighters spoke during Mike Tyson’s Hot Box In Podcast earlier today, and they agreed to the fight meet up this year.

Ryan (21-0, 18 KOs) did a lot of trash-talking during the podcast, trying to get WBA lightweight champion Tank Davis angry enough to agree to fight him. It didn’t take much, though, because that’s a fight that Tank wants anyway.

The fight will need to be negotiated between Ryan’s promoters at Golden Boy Promotions and Tank Davis’ Mayweather Promotions management.

You got to feel a little sorry for the young ‘Kingry’ Ryan because he sounds like he doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into with this fight against Gervonta (24-0, 23 KOs).

Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia trash-talking quotes

Ryan Garcia: “You can say all you want. I know you see me. Two rounds. I don’t care what you got. You’re going to need a ladder to hit me. You’re going to need a StairMaster to hit me.”

“How tall are you? 5’5″? You’re going to need a ladder to hit me. Boy, you won’t be able to touch me. You’ve never fought a 135 in your life. This is different. I don’t care what you say.”

“You ain’t got nothing. Boy, you’re too ugly to be champ. I’m pretty. You ain’t never seen no one like me. You seen me with a bowtie. Two rounds is all it’s going to take. You can talk to Mike [Tyson]. Have a good time with Mike.”

Gervonta Davis: “He got dropped by somebody that can’t even hit [Luke Campbell]. :

Ryan: “I don’t care. Hit me with that shot. You’re going to need a Stairmaster, boy.”

Gervonta : “If I would have hit him, you know I would have jumped on him.”

Ryan: “Keyword – would have.”

Gervonta: “We’re fighting next.”

Ryan: “Let’s go. He said it, the world knows. The next fight. There’s no going back now, there ain’t no going back.”

“You better commit to it. Sign it, baby. Sign it. Look at me, I’m dancing, I’m happy. Let’s go, Tank. There he goes, he’s out.”

Tank: “I’m fighting him next.”

Ryan: “You’re going down. It’s set in stone now, baby.”

Tank: “I’m going to fight him next.”

Ryan Garcia has been spoiling for a fight with Tank Davis for well over a year, and now he’s finally getting his wish. He could end up regretting it if Tank knocks him cold like he did his last opponent Leo Santa Cruz.
