By Aragon Garcia: Andy Ruiz Jr. posted a video of himself working out with his trainer Manny Robles in training for his December 7 rematch against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia. IBF/WBA/WBO champ Ruiz Jr. (33-1, 22 KOs) is looking powerful and extremely fast during the workout.

At one point, Ruiz lands a powerful shot that sends Robles’ pad flying across the room. Ruiz then celebrated in mock victory at having smashed his trainer’s mitts to the floor.

Andy Ruiz Jr. looking unstoppable

The way that Ruiz is looking right now, it’s going to be awfully tough for Joshua (22-1, 21 KOs) to beat him in 11 weeks from now. Many boxing fans and experts are predicting that Ruiz Jr. beats Joshua again in the same manner as he did last time. Ruiz Jr. pulled off a 7th round upset knockout win over Joshua three months ago on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

“Feeling good, camp is in full effect 💪My team and I are working hard one step closer to being ready for Dec 7th,” said Andy Ruiz Jr. on social media about rematch with Joshua.

Robert Garcia: Andy Ruiz Jr. will beat Joshua again

“No one really though. I’ve got to be honest, I didn’t think he was going to pull it off,” said Robert Garcia to secondsout about Andy Ruiz’s win over Joshua. “I’m happy for him and his team that he got that big fight, that big payday. But once he won, it made me so proud. He’s Mexican American. Nobody gave him a chance.

“For him to do that, it just tells you that anything is possible. Now with the rematch, I think he’s going to do the same thing again. Sometimes a fighter that is supposed to win gets knocked down, because he got caught with one punch, got dropped, and never got up.

“You get knocked out. You come back and you win the rematch. It’s possible. But in this case, he dropped him a couple of times. And then he not only beat him mentally, I think he took his heart away. When the fight ended, Anthony Joshua didn’t want to be there. He wanted to be somewhere else. I think that coming into the rematch is going to really affect him. I think Ruiz wins the rematch again,” said Robert.

Joshua must find an answer for Ruiz’s hand speed

AJ’s trainer Rob McCracken has three months to try and figure out a way for his fighter to neutralize the hand speed, and the combination punching of Ruiz before December 7th. It’s not looking good for Joshua right now, because he’s too slow, musclebound and robotic for him to handle a fighter with Ruiz’s physical tools.

Joshua will need to show a different look than in his past fights, since Ruiz’s trainer Robles will prepare him for what they’ve seen from him in the past.
