By Yannis Mihanos: They say doing the same thing and expecting different results is an insane thing. Former eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) fighting again for the third time Tim Bradley (33-1-1 13 KOs) seems insane too. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who promotes both Pacquiao and Bradley, made this fight happened. Will it serve his marketing purposes? Will it be a box office hit?

Pacquiao will be facing Bradley this Saturday night on April 9 on HBO pay-per-view from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I know that Bradley with his new coach Teddy Atlas has improved, but some old things don’t change.

Fighters don’t change overnight. It is called conditioning and it takes a long time to develop. To change plans and strategy is a long, long process. You can’t expect a different Bradley, a better Bradley perhaps but that’s all.

Pacquiao in my opinion is a class above. Without disrespecting Bradley that I consider him a warrior, I would have preferred to see Pacquiao facing someone else like Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, Terence Crawford or Danny Garcia, someone more dangerous.

Improvements and adjustments in training can help Bradley to make this fight more competitive maybe even make it the best of the series but to win Pacquiao that is different.

Clearly Pacquiao is not for his teeth. We all saw what happened the previous two times.

For Pacquiao is a good way to go out from the sport and have the last laugh and hooray.

From the last week, rumors have been spreading about Pacquiao not retiring after all and accepting to fight Canelo at a catch-weight limit. This is interesting for us fans.

Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach wants desperately his fighter to continue and Arum would love this to happen. This surely has the ingredients for a box office hit.

It’s difficult to say if this scenario will go through though, it’s entirely up to Pac to decide. Politics or boxing? What is going to be?

Better let’s wait after Saturday to talk about this more. Until Saturday first comes boxing and Bradley, even if it makes no sense fighting him again.
