Tim Bradley’s Defeat: Is it a spell or a strong prayer of Mommy Dionisia?
By Alon Calinao Dy: The mother of all-time favorite boxer Manny Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KO’s), Aling Dionisia, has said something a curse or a prayer at the start of their most anticipating fight at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada last Saturday night.
This is the most trending news now in the Philippines and other boxing sites. Due to the spell, Aling Dionisia has helped Pacquiao for winning the rematch. Some boxing fans have called Pacquiao’s mom ” A crazy woman, ” others believe that she was just praying for his infamous son during the heat of the battle.
I guess being a good Roman Catholic, Mommy Dionisia, is not cursing former WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley (31-1, 12 KO’s). Although mysticism is sometimes a common belief in the Philippines, I believe it has nothing to do for the victory of the Filipino champ. I think Mommy Dionisia is just praying for the two exciting fighters in the world.
Indeed, it was a pray over of Pacquiao’s mom that worked out because both fighters have no physical injuries even though they have shown aggressiveness in this fight.
It doesn’t make sense that other critics are saying that Mommy D has “barang” or spelled Bradley for this fight. In fact after the fight, Pacquiao’s mom gave the American boxer a warm hug and talked to him like a concerned mother. It’s the secret weapon of his Pacquiao’s mother because she always prayed for the welfare of every boxer.
