Newcomers Teaira Skinner And Chelsea Washington Will Clash At The Supper

With the rise of women’s boxing, the sport needs new blood to keep the machine going, and two newcomers are ready to begin their journey to become that key component, as Teaira “Groovy Baby” Skinner (1-0, 1 KO) will face Chelsea “C-Snow” Washington.

Skinner will attempt to win back-to-back bouts, while Washington will be making her pro boxing debut. The event has been titled ‘The Supper,’ and the action is set to take place on September 19th at the Hyatt Regency in Baltimore, Maryland, streaming live on BLK Prime.

Representing Baltimore’s renowned Upton Boxing Center, Teaira Skinner has been boxing since she was 16. Although she is only 26 years old, she looks up to boxers such as Laila Ali, Ann Wolfe, Aaron Pryor, and Pernell Whitaker.

As a kid, the Texas native Chelsea Washington used to get into fights almost every day. She became interested in boxing and started training with Coach Sam Clarkson.

Washington has trained on and off for 15 years, but she never got the chance to build her career because she had kids. Now the 31-year-old has been training consistently; she’s focused and ready to start her boxing journey.

Teaira Skinner has amateur experience, and she already has a pro fight under her belt. In February 2026, Skinner made her pro boxing debut, stopping Samantha Maury in the second round.

Skinner is a hard worker, and she focuses on improving every day. She’s a talented fighter who is a historian of the game. Skinner’s goal is to win fights and entertain the fans.

“What you get out of me is exciting fights. You never have a dull moment with me, and I will always figure out a way to win,” Skinner stated.

Her opponent, Chelsea Washington, has gained boxing experience strictly through sparring. Washington was set to make her debut back in July 2026 at the Roy Jones Jr. event, Royal Roundz 5, but unfortunately the event was canceled.

Now Washington is ready to make her debut on Saturday night in Baltimore, Maryland. Washington knows her opponent and how she plans to approach the fight.

“I am a southpaw, and my style may be a little different,” Washington said. “I adjust while in the fight. I know that she has amateur experience and won her first pro fight. I know she’s tough, but on September 19th we will find out who’s tougher.”

The September 19th event is a Skyy Myles Promotions show featuring Chrisean Rock, Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson, and Mia “Killer Bee” Ellis, but the fight of the night could very well be the flyweight clash between Teaira Skinner and Chelsea Washington.
