Marquez has enough of getting jobbed in controversial decision losses against the highly popular Pacquiao, and this time he’s going to make sure that the judges have no part in the ultimate outcome of the fight by stopping the Filipino inside the distance.

Marquez said to RingTV “I’ll be more faster, more explosive and more aggressive. I am prepared to knock him out.”

This is definitely the way to beat Pacquiao because Marquez probably won’t be given a decision if he merely counters Pacquiao all night long with the cleaner landing shots and the harder punches. He’s trained that in three consecutive fights with Pacquiao and still not been given the decision by the judges. Marquez realizes that he’s got to do something different so that he doesn’t get jobbed again and the only way he can keep that from happening is to fight hard and make sure he knocks him out with hard head shots.

It’s going to be interesting to see how powerful Marquez is for this fight because he’s put on some added muscle that should be able to help him handle Pacquiao. In the last fight Marquez was clearly the stronger guy in terms of power and when he would bump into Pacquiao. You could see that Marquez was the stronger guy, and that definitely helped him. However, it’s not enough that Marquez is the stronger guy and landing the clearer punches. He’s got to make sure he can KO Pacquiao to put an exclamation point on his three fights with Pacquiao.

A win here will get Marquez a fourth fight with Pacquiao. Bob Arum is already talking about a fifth fight between them, but a knockout win or any win over Pacquiao will surely get Marquez a 5th big money fight against Manny.
