Image: Harrison: I'm going to walk through David PriceBy Scott Gilfoid: 40-year-old Audley Harrison (28-5, 21 KO’s) isn’t worried about British heavyweight David Price’s power going into their October 13th fight at the Echo Arena, in Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom. All Harrison is focused on is getting to that fragile chin of the 6’8″ Price so that he can blast him out the same way that Roberto Cammarelle did.

Harrison said to thesun.co.uk “I talk a good fight, I know. But I am coming to walk through him. This is not talk this time.”

Harrison may have failed in the past against the likes of David Haye and many others, but he’s got a vulnerable opponent in front of him on October 13th against the stork-like Price with his weak chin. This is a purely 50-50 fight because of that, as long as Harrison lets his hands go this time. That’s all it takes to have a fighting chance to beat Price, because if you hit right he’s going to go. But with Harrison he’s got to get past his fear and his nasty habit of just standing there like frigid, frozen statue when he gets in the ring. If he fights like he did against Haye, of course Price will win the fight. Heck, anyone could beat Harrison if he doesn’t throw punches.

It doesn’t a guy like Price to KO him. You could put Harrison in with the likes of Sam Sexton or Tom Dallas and he’d still likely get knocked out. However, if Harrison is fighting with some aggression by flurrying on his opponents, then he can definitely beat the likes of Price. That guy is too slow, too stiff and too limited to just blowout Harrison if he’s fighting the way he needs to. If both guys are unloading on each with combos in the 1st round, Harrison wins it because he’s the better athlete and his left hands will be connecting.

The guys that Price has been slowing away – Sexton, Dallas, and John McDermott – all let Price fight at his own pace. They didn’t jump him the way that Cammarelle and Bermane Stiverne did. Those guys came out head hunting from round one against Price it wasn’t long before they rocked him. Harrison can do the same thing as long as he goes all out immediately. Harrison needs to see this as a one round fight, because that’s kind of the only he wins. He was a good amateur in short fights, and if he go look at this as a one rounder, I can see him knocking Price out cold.
