Image: Haye vs. Klitschko will happen: In England Haye wins, anywhere else Vitali winsBy Dallan O’ Donnell: WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KO’s) beat overmatched opponent Manuel Charr (21-1, 11 KO’s) last night by 4th round stoppage in Moscow, Russia, and soon after the David Haye rumours arose again. The Klitschko’s and Haye are mortal enemies after Haye wore “that” t-shirt at a press conference in the build- up to the Wladimir fight.

Wladimir went on to beat Haye in an unimpressive fight by 12 round decision but Haye blamed a broken toe on the loss.

Vitali has always wanted to beat Haye worse that his brother but a Haye retirement ended that possibility. Cue a Haye comeback and knockout victory over Dereck Chisora who had faced Vitali and taken him all the way. Haye destroyed Chisora.

Haye now wants the fight. Vitali wants to retire to focus on politics, but I guarantee you this fight will happen. I believe the winner will be decided on where the fight takes place. If it takes place in Russia, Germany or Ukraine then Vitali will win, but if the fight happens at Wembley or the 02 in London then I think Haye will win. Home advantage and all.

If Haye wins then he can bank on a rematch with Wladimir. Lose and retirement beckons once more. Vitali has nothing to prove, but his pride may force him to take this fight. Time will tell. There is so much money to be made in fighting one another. Too much to ignore I will speculate.
