Froch would beat Ward in Nottingham

Image: Froch would beat Ward in NottinghamBy Dallan O’ Donnell: WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Andre Ward (26-0, 14 KO’s) may have beaten (31-2, 17 KO’s) Chad Dawson by stoppage last night, and he may have beaten Carl Froch in the states already, but if Froch and Ward were to face off in Nottingham there is only one winner; Carl Froch.

Ward is good, very good but he is a comfort zone fighter. By that I mean he would be so uncomfortable outside this zone. So uncomfortable he probably wouldn’t even travel to England. What kind of champion doesn’t travel to prove himself? Maybe he has had a talk with Lucian Bute.

Bute was rated as the second best at 168 but when he came to Nottingham, Froch destroyed him. So much so that even in the rematch in Canada in March Bute will be beaten again.

Ward, after seeing the beating taken by Bute, won’t want to come to Nottingham.

Froch may not be as technically gifted as Ward but in Nottingham, Froch will beat anyone. Don’t get me wrong now, I am not “hating” on Ward, I’m just calling on him to take a risk. But the risk is too great for “the son of god” to take.

If he was to come to England I would go as far to say that Froch would stop Ward inside 10 rounds. Wards victory over Dawson was good, but Dawson is over-hyped and not as talented as some would have made you believe.
