If Wilder can improve Harrison enough he could beat Price

By Scott Gilfoid: 40-year-old Audley Harrison (28-5, 21 KO’s) is going to be getting a very valuable three weeks of sparring with the talented and 6’7″ unbeaten American knockout artist Deontay Wilder (24-0, 24 KO’s) to help get ready for Price’s October 13th fight against 6’8″ David Price (13-0, 11 KO’s) at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.

Without the sparring with Wilder, the southpaw Harrison probably would only have a prayer of winning if he could possibly land one of his big left hands right on the mug of Price to take him out. However, with the huge punching Wilder to get him ready, Harrison could be improved enough to KO Price in this fight. After all, Wilder has a much better right hand than Price does in terms of both hand speed and power. All Harrison has to do is get used to the speed and power of Wilder, if it all possible, so that when he fights the slower, robotic moving Price, Harrison can blast him out with a scorching left hand or right hook to the head.

It’s pure genius of Harrison to use Wilder as his sparring partner necause Wilder is not only about as tall as the 6’8″ Price, but he’s got the longer arms, the faster hands and the bigger power. By the time that Harrison is doing with the three weeks of sparring with Wilder, his opponent Price will be slow as molasses in comparison. This in turn will make it much easier for Harrison to evade Price’s best shots and come back with some big shots of his own in order to counter Price.
