Image: Heavyweight division is buzzingBy Steven Ocallaghan: We might not have the greatest heavyweight era that we have ever had but one thing for sure is there is more talk about the heavyweights now than we have had since the Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield days.

Wladimir Klitchko, Vitali Klitchko and David Haye, all world class boxers, even though Haye did let himself down against Wlad, but even the best have an off night. Then We have Robert Helenius, David Price, Tyson Fury, Chris Areola, Odlanier Solis, Seth Mitchell and Kubrat Pulev, all good fighters.

We also have Deontay Wilder, Marco Huck, who pushed Alexander Povetkin all the way and Povetkin himself. The brothers are fighting their mandatory challengers but there are a lot of great potential matchups out there. For one, Tyson Fury v Deontay Wilder is one everybody wants to see.

David Haye deserves another shot at the title once Vitali takes care of Manuel Charr. Seth Mitchell is on against Jonathon Banks in early November. That is a fight I’m looking forward to as both guys are WBC top 10. Take note, Deontay.

All the names mentioned above would provide a great test for each other. I have been hard on Wilder in the past but I just want to see him fight a guy of note.

Robert Helenius is a dark horse for me, he was lucky against Chisora but Derrick can give anybody a tough night, just ask Vitali. Helenius has good wins against Chisora, Siarhei Liakhovich, Sam Peter and Lamon Brewster. You need to beat the best to be the best.

Wlad for me is No 1, David Haye is No 2 and Vitali is No 3. A couple of years ago I would have reversed Vitali and David but age is now a factor. No 4 is up for grabs.

With the exception of David Haye, it is now the time of the the big heavyweight. Big heavy guys with very long reaches, but athletic to go with it. It will be a long time before we see another Tyson-esque type fighter.
